Should Bush help Trinidad?

B. If Trinidad cannot stop murders there, why does that concern anybody else? Why should the US, or any other country for that matter, spend resources on halting murders in another country, with it's own government, when there's just as a high a murder rate in some of its own cities?!

Again, as many people have asked, why Trinidad, when there are much worse states in the world you could have debated? Purely favouritism due to your friends?

Incidentally - I was looking for statistics. Did you know the Federation States of Micronesia, with population only 157,000, has a prison population of only 30?! And 21 full-time staff working in the nation's single prison? 😄

i am not doing this for favorism because of my friends! why does everyone think I am doing this for my friends? all of you are blowing this out of proportion, that is all i have to say.

no what...i give up...i'm not even going to bother with a letter...you guys just think I'm being selfish...I have two friends who live in Jamica, and they are facing similar things, yet i didn't chose Jamica did I? i chose Trinidad, because of Manning. but i changed my mind and i am dropping everything ok? satisfied?

Okay, okay. I read the entire thread before posting, so don't go at me for not reading.

What should Manning be doing that he isn't? What can he do?

And Manning asked for help, not some random person writing to Bush...

i claimed that first of all, because i had read new statistics, and i said murders and kidnappings together were +400.
Manning could take more action that's what. i have read quite a bit of articles saying stuff 'bout him. i don't remember what though, for i have the worse memory...

Since you obviously have no clue about justice and the prevention of murders or kidnappings, and no possible idea what Prime Minister Manning should be doing to stop these from happening, I will leave you with your futile argument, and I hope that you realise you should back down. There's no reason for international intervention in Trinidad, and it's a moot point anyway, since both the US and the UK have sent police to support the local forces.

You have no reason to choose Trinidad, no reason to blame Manning, and worst of all, no idea of the topic you've chosen to debate.
