It is a straight answer; if someone is not 100% sure they could handle anything thrown at them, they should not run for office. I sure as hell never would as I know I wouldn't be able to handle such things, I can't take pressure or stress.
I expect our president to not **** up the country. I expect him to not lie to start a war. I expect him to not destroy the economy. I expect him to not create a foreign policy that causes so much of the world to hate us. It's not a matter of he could do better....it's a matter of he SHOULD do better. His best simply is not good enough and he has no business leading this country.

What do you mean what would I do if I was Bush right now? I don't know specifically what I'd do but I can't guarantee I'd do a good job because I know I'd make a bad president. Though I can safely say that if Afghanistan attacked America and I was the president, I'd....you know....go after the right country.
