and that was all i was looking for...and that really isn't a straight answer...i mean what would he do if he was Bush right now. what kind of decisions WOULD you honestly make based on your judgement on things, and how quick you can react to them?

The point is I'm not supposed to make those decisions!
I elect someone to do that so I personally don't have to. But when you elect someone who clearly has no idea whats going on around him, well then I start to worry.
Would I detain people for possibly being "terrorists"? No.
Would I violate civil rights and get around it by stationing the prison in Cuba? No
Would I have done something against Terrorists? Probably.
Would I have gone to war over something completly unrelated? No
Would I learn how to speak in public? Yes.
Would I let religion influence my decisions? No.

Any thing else I can help you with?

no, that is good enough. thanks.

I wouldn't have gone to war with a country that had absolutely nothing to do with anything, for starters.

actually, you can place it much earlier: he could have reacted immediatly on the 9/11 instead of sitting in a classroom reading a book.

clarification on the religion thing: if you truly believe in your religion, it ought to dictate your life.

Does this include "God told me to bomb Iraq"?

Now now, we all know it wasn't god, jsut the voices in Bush's head.

I'd be hesitant to specifically say "God told me to do .... well just about anything"
God doesn't speak audibly. He can but He doesn't ...not these days anyway

That's what Bush claimed, he also claimed religion runs his life. This isn't a man who should be president because he's inevitably going to end up forcing his chosen beliefs on a nation of people. A lot of which don't believe as he does.

-AC

The president doesn't have control of the legislative branch of gov't so there's very little he can do to "force" his views on people.

I'd rather have a religious president than one that believes anything should go...

Took the words right out of SpellJammer's mouth Julie. ^__^

Are you trying to sanely imply that Bush hasn't forced his views on people?

Doesn't it make you feel a bit bad that someone who isn't even American knows more about your country's political going's-on than you?

-AC

no not really. I admit I don't know much about politics. They usu tend to stress me out...like watching the news

Then I find it utterly disturbing that you're voting for the worse option out of apathy.

-AC

Apathy, ouch.

I'm not dumb as a doornail and I did look at my Pres candidate options...

Why are you so negatively opinionated?? Are you always this confrontational?

BTW, for the circumstances ie world events/ natural disaters, the Pres has done an okay job of handling the situation....

He hasn't done an ok job, what president are you watching? He's done an awful job, possibly the worst. Apparantly we live in a world where a president can kick off an unjustified war, lied to his countrymen and women, leave the flood gates open for terrorist attack and not even come to the aid of his OWN country when they need him, and still get voted back into office by people such as yourself.

You said yourself you don't know much about politics, that is clear now.

I think you've been watching too much of the news...left slanted as some stations are...it's easy to criticise, harder to fix problems.

keeping terrorists out is tricky business......and BTW, the rest of the world seems to have their fair share of bomb happy wackos

I watch too MUCH news? At least I have base, reason and knowledge on what I'm talking about. Your choice to have an opinion on something you admittedly don't care much about is bad enough.

He didn't try to keep terrorists out though, hence why he ignored being informed of their plans and took it upon himself to read to pre-school kids. Ironically he couldn't even do that correctly.

The left not only sucks at giving information, they suck at internet services too.
