at this point, Superman needs fresh threads, imo.

Pr, me, and a few others are making a new superman thread for new 52, but we trying to find a way to bypass the editing limit do that we can keep all scan in the first few pages. Unlike this thread, scans wont be posted over and over again in spam of 110pages

How about we all provide you scans and you organize the OP, continually making edits? You know, showings, of strength, speed, striking power, etc?

I would do the same for Thor or Hulk if I had the time and inclination..the truth is that comic book heroes and their evolving super powers are very intriguing to me, I happen to only be able to afford Superman, and barely that much, and I really just argue against people who know their heroes, assuming they'll correct me for assuming things about them. Great scans! This thread easily gets out of control and you are doing a great job of bringing it back together.

To reiterate Pr's comment about some of the descriptions being off, I wanted to point out a few:

1) "Superman fighting alongside allies against Gog and his army non-stop for one hundred years" - Superman actually wasn't part of that war since he was underground in captivity the whole time

2) "Superman proves tougher than his Earth Two Counterpart" - He's actually defeating Superboy from Earth Prime in the scan (although the surrounding pages do sorta show that Clark DID outlast E2 Supes

3) "Power amp from the sun-dip is great enough to overcharge a High-Herald" - The accompanying scan is actually a scene from Trinity where Superman gained godlike powers along with WW and Batman.

Also, to reiterate Pr's statement- I AM NOT TRYING TO BE A DICK, PROMISE. If I tried to do what you are doing, I would no doubt make mistakes as well so don't worry about being offended.

I am a huge Superman fan and would like to have all the facts straight so that haters won't be able to call BS on the whole thread.

Nice. You should add Superman reading every medical textbook and performing the operation on Lois. Showcases his speed and higher brain function. Also just recently he pulled a Superman returns and lifted a chunk of the city into space after getting exposed to red sun radiation. It showed how vast his solar reserves are. He also froze the entire thing.

Also in JLA 19 Batman said Superman and WW are 2 most powerful beings on DC Earth.

Superman (Byrne era) performs feats worthy of a high meta or low Herald WHILE heavily depowered

At this depowered state He is capable of defeating Draaga and Mogul Sr on the second round.

But Mogul doubts He can kill him (at least with conventional weapons)

So He decides to restrain him and kill him some other way.

Superman breaks his bonds and attacks Mogul (Round 2)

While heavily depowered lifts a huge block and toss it at Mogul Sr.

And He is capable of Defeating Mogul

Now, I understand that defeating Mogul Sr or Draaga, might not mean to much for the ones who have not read the issues, but Mogul Sr. was pretty much superior to Draaga, but Draaga won in the end because Draaga used weakeness exploitation vs Mogul.

Draaga on the other hand was capable of defeating single handed Matrix Supergirl.
