Here's Superman throwing moon-sized balls of ice at the future Earth, where the oceans had been dried up.

Superman towing at least 10 full sized planets from other galaxies to save their inhabitants.

Superman flies through the time barrier to go millions of years into the past.

Ooops, double post.

Superman made it from Earth to Saturn in 4 minutes. Lightspeed takes 19 minutes to make this trip.

According to this site:

It would take light 20-40 minutes to go from the Earth to Jupiter, and Saturn is further away from Earth that Jupiter is.

Supes is faster that I thought. 😱

Interesting info on that site. It says it would take a light hour to get to Saturn, meaning that Superman was moving about 15 times the speed of light. Still, compared to the Pre-Crisis Superman and Superboy, that's nothing. Look at this picture:

Here, Superman is towing multiple planets to the other side of the universe. The Earth weighs about 5,978,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons, according to current estimates. Multiply that by more than 10, since we can see him towing numerous planets. Then figure the sheer size of the universe. So, in this picture we see Superboy towing roughly 60 sextillion tons across billions of light years of space. Sorry Hulk fans, but I haven't seen a feat come remotely close to this.

Superman is the man. I said it. So sue me. Contrary to what I've been saying about the man of steel, Superman is one of the best.

I only started hating him after seeing how much Smallville is a piece of sh-t. Why the hell does Clark keep demanding the truth from Lex when he's not even willing to tell the truth about himself? Why do the fights only last 5 seconds? Who gives a sh-t if Clark and Lana had a sex life?... Well, I guess thats what you get when you let the guy who directed Dawsons Creek write a Superman story.

Anyway, I miss the good old character played by Christopher Reeves. The Superman character he portrayed is by far the most heroic, most genuine, most original look alike version of Superman.

But speaking of Supes in general, he is now and will always be the greatest hero ever. Its all up to the future directors/writers/actors as to whether they can serve up to Superman's legendary status or not.

Nuff said. Rest in peace, Christopher...

yes i agree chris reeves was a symbolic icon almost as much as the S on his chest.

I am giving Routh my full backing to be the next superman, he bears a similar presense that reeves held, that in mind, given his next outing as the man of steel, when things start getting tough, if he pulls it off then my backing him was a good idea.

I don't have much to say about the haters other than why fight it? nothing will happen really, plus he wasn't bad in Superman Returns either... all for the Routhster

this shit is freaking funny http://youtube.com/watch?v=8rh2z3y-lVY

old news, man. saw that one about a month ago...

That was hilarious, but seriously, Superman could've stopped both of them. Of course, that would've ruined the whole movie, but still, Supes could've flown at half the speed of light and done it.

Also, one more thing to point out about the Superboy pic. Notice that he's pulling those planets with one arm and without any hint of struggle. Now, Superboy isn't quite as powerful as the full-grown Superman from what I understand, so just imagine the strength of pre-crisis Superman using that standard.

Superman resists MAGICAL TRANSMUTATION from a skyfather level character.

Superman battles Earths elementals (magical creatures who compose earth) and threatens to destroy the planet and them if needed.

He gave them a choice...the elementals backed down.

Supes shows how kind he is to Bats by dodging.. 😉

Superman and Zods battle destroying an alternate Earth.

Hell yeah. Nice scans, Avalon. 🙂

Superman's Superspeed makes lightning in slow motion to him.
