The weakest one would be the one that lost to Sabertooth. I don't have that series so you have to ask someone else how strong he is.

the feat is very interesting in showing JP's fighting techniques, yes, but less so in showing him beating an "invulnerable" person senseless. but that's derived from the unexplained nature of paulie's powers, which somehow make him invulnerable to bullets and magnetism, but not to a few hundred super-speed punches? eh, unimportant.

marrina we've settled on, and lil i don't feel like arguing about any more.

murmur's powers work like an external force anyway, and apparently have some rooting into the minds of the affected. when she gave "courage" to flex, he quickly lost it and fell into a panic as if he hadn't known what had happened. it was like the "courage" had been a compulsion directed by an outside force, much like forcing someone to teleport. the only difference is she changed adrian's entire state of mind, she didn't simply compel him into action. had she said "flex," he may have reacted similarly, as if frightened he was flexing against his will.

when she attempted to quell mesmero, "sleep" i believe she said, he made mention of "mucking around in someone's mind." or something to that accord. that could mean arlette's touch establishes some form of mental link, even through a psionically-augmentable forcefield, while her words are the new "prime directive." this still seems to be within the scant definition of her powers, but does not go further to assume she can do such ambiguous things as teleport people away. it seems like the more logical of the two assumptions would be the first, which seems to wrap up loose ends, as opposed to the "arlette can do anything" idea which lacks backing, definition or any plausible evidence.

I never said he could beat any invulnerable person, I only posted scans of Northstar beating him and made no indication what's so ever Northstar could to this to any other invulnerable person. Hence, why it's still a feat showing his abilities beating Paulie. If it's unimportant why even bring it up?

Eh? she controls them by touching them, like how she can keep Sasquatch calm. No offence but what does that have to do with the teleport incident? No Flex lost the courage quickly, but he still knew what happened so he tried to run away from the fighting and then remember the incident at Hull House with the monster. He wasn't even panicking, [Courage can fade quickly can't it, Flex?] "I've got to get out of this hide...why is Puck picking on me? He knows I'm doing my best I can. It's just like back in the Hull House..when...when..no...Nooooo". She gave him courage just like she can tell a person to sleep, stay calm or to attack, it's all a compulsion. But saying Paris and then Virgo not knowing what's going on is sent to Paris France is odd. Even Taurus states later her teleporter isn't working something.

Yes, we know she makes a mental link. That much is obvious, however she cannot read the persons mind just implement a command. Mesmero said, "Which is not to say I didn't enjoy your charming presence in my mind, girl- but before you try your little parlor tricks on a fellow mental manipulator again...make sure yours is the strongest mind". So would not have know about the teleporter. She still needs to make physical contact to make the contact work she can't do it without it and she has tried before on Radius many times and failed. What are you talking about? I never said Arlette can do anything, man if your going to debate something actually debate what was said rather than keep going off on a tangent. What she did to Virgo was different from what we saw Murmur do, and then the handbook indicates she does have some form of teleportation. I don't see how it doesn't have any plausible evidence.

Now back on topic...scans

if you'd kindly stop taking things as personal attacks, we could debate this with some reason. my "tangent" as you call it was taken from "evidence" your links presented, not from anything you said directly, nor from nothing at all. both the handbook factoid and the index to alpha flight try to define murmur's powers as beyond what we know. that's taking illogical steps to come to a conclusion. a simpler conclusion, as i had presented in my last post, continues to work within the definition of murmur's powers ["touch initiated mind-control"] without unnecessary speculation around isolated incidents. why, in your mind, is it more practical to assume she can just randomly teleport people away (as was only "seen" once, when she used her powers on someone who could actively teleport themself,) than to assume her "mind-link" may work in both directions? which one is closest to her established power set?

Uhhh...I never even took it as a personal attack or did I make any personal attack to you. Exactally my point is there is more to Murmur than we know, but for starters she is not a mind reader so your claiming she is to make your "idea" to work, yet she hasn't shown to do that ever in vol.2. She would have to know about the teleporter before hand to be able to tell Virgo to go to Paris, yet she didn't. She doesn't read minds, she is a mind manipulator just like Mesmero. So your theory doesn't work unless you make up part of her power as well.

Diamond Lil
Alpha Flight #125- Here we first see Box in his short lived new Box armor design. Well what's most important is Lil sends her husband flying through the house and out the door landing on the ground 20-30 feet away. Box v.4 was 520 lbs, so this version was probally around the same weight. Normal strength my ass 😛

Shaman
Marvel X-Men Encyclopedia [Vol.2]- Of course you probally could have guessed this is one of Alpha Flight's strongest members. Also he was the top doctor in Canada as well as a mystic shaman, he would be more than "learned" in intelligence area. He was also said to have a near or at peak human body in Alpha Flight #6. there are varying levels of assumption, some reasonable while others are not. for instance, if i met someone with an accent, i could assume they were from out of state. or, perhaps, i could assume they were an alien who had yet to truly pick up the english language. one seems a bit more logical than the other, such as assuming a psionic mutant has some sort of complimentary mind-tap power, as opposed to a reality-shearing ability to teleport a known teleporter away.

How is teleportation not logical? when we clearly know the situation was unique as Virgo had no control what was happening and called out to Scorpio for help. Even her teleportation was different animation than their earth teleporters. Then the handbook later indicates she does have teleportation abilities. We just don't know what she is fully capable of, as feats as releasing Radius and capable of killing people. You can't simply dismiss it and say it didn't happen or it's not in her realm of power. Your thinking she has complete telepathy where she can download Virgo's memories and thoughts in a split second is more logical than teleportation with her own powers? She touched for a split second and then said "Paris" and Virgo was gone. Murmur has never even shown one ounce of evidence that she can do that in the series.

Marrina
Avengers #291 [Part 1/3]-Here Marrina fully transforms into her ultimate form and gives the Avengers a run for their money. I won't say the reason she transforms, but it adds to the character.

Feats shown:
-Marrina speeds off and threatens to swamp the Manhattan shoreline
-Marrina creates a tidal wave that destroys Barbudas
-Marrina in her transformed state is bigger than a mile.
-Marrina destroys a sand key.

Avengers #292 [Part 2/3]-Marrina is causing all stuff to go down and taking on the Avengers and the Navy. I can't believe I'm going to say it, but she is one of the strongest members of Alpha Flight.

Feats shown:
-Marrina moving so fast Thor can't catch her underwater
-Marrina destroying the large ship and taking it underwater like it was nothing
-Marrina taking a hit from Captain Marvel that would light a small city and not being phased
-Marrina taking blasts from the entire Navy and not even getting a scratch on her.
-Marrina destroys a Navy Cruiser like it was nothing, a feat Namor is shocked by.

Sasquatch [Exiles]
Marvel X-Men Encyclopedia [Vol.2]- I find that interesting that she is considered not as bright as the 616 Sasquatch since she has done some pretty impressive stuff herself. Even currently in the Exiles title she is leading the team from the background even though she lost her powers. Also she is bulletproof as well as regenerative. I think they underated her in intelligence and durability. Click HERE! to see what the stats mean.

X-Men #113-Bull on two accounts, first off Magneto would not be able to grab him that easily. Secondly, "not nearly as fast" as Quicksilver? eh? Northstar has way more speed feats then him such as running more than mach 18.7. Then in the same issue in a matter of moments Northstar rushes into the upper atmosphere to rescue Paulie and lands on a battle cruiser 50 miles off of the Genoshan coast. Ummmm.... he has to be going like escape velocity speed to be able to do something like that. That's faster than mach 32.7

Whooooo.....over 3000 views for this thread. Nice🙂 [/B]

That's bull. Vikings can kick anybody's asses. Hocus pocus can't stop undead Norse warriors.

holy crap! I've been gone awhile but this thread as gotten huge! Never could I imagine it would ever be this large. I shake your hand King Mungi. You are single handedly showing people (if there actually going to this thread) that Alpha Flight rocks.
