who the **** are the collective?

It was posted that they died on Tuesday.

Collective are all the power and energy of all the mutants that lost their powers in House of M.

So that thing has a couple of million mutant energies in it. No wonder alpha lasted less then a second.

New villain. Supposed to have been created by all the energy from all the de-powered mutants or something like that.

Edit: Beat me to it...

Yeah that's old news Scoobless even I posted the pics in this thread earlier. Also they later stated they Alpha Flight is going to be getting a new series and something big is about to happen to them.

Madison Jeffries/Box v.4
Alpha Flight #58- Here's a very quick summary of how Alpha Flight survived Jeffries' large explosion on Earth. By the transforming and the pressure, this temporally made Jeffries nuts and he was going warpspeed across space. When he finally snapped back into it, Alpha Flight was lost in space. Another problem is Box has to convert part of his mass into energy to power the starship. Problem with that is he keeps doing that he will run out of mass, but they could always find an alien planet and steal all the metal and bring the ship back to normal. Which they did already.

AlphaFlight.net: Hello Mark. Because of the news Joe Quesada just gave regarding the possibility of a new Alpha Flight series in the works, I'm curious if you might be involved. I know in your last interview with me you mentioned a possibility of you using the Alpha Flight characters down the road. Otherwise if you aren't connected to it, I'm curious if you've heard any buzz about it in the Marvel grapevine.

Mark Millar: Nice to hear from you again, mate. Yes, I'm really using Marvel Civil War as a means of re-establishing some of the greatest, sadly missing characters from the MU. I'm very old school, despite being only thirty-six, and put this down to reading Marvel UK reprints as a kid instead of the books you guys were reading in the 80s and 90s. Thus, the period I have the biggest affection for really runs from Stan and Jack up to classic John Byrne. I'm reading all the Byrne FFs right now and loving them to pieces. I just love the Alpha Flight stuff I'm reading too and plan to end MCW with the possibility of a very good, very high profile Alpha Flight book spinning out of the series. These are great characters and it's a great concept and I want it to be treated seriously or not at all. It's in Marvel's hands what happens after MCW, but they're very keen to bring back some of the old school magic we've been missing for a while and AF is right there on my list with several other characters.

AlphaFlight.net: Is doing an AF series something that you are hoping to do yourself, or do you just want to set them up to be available for someone else?

Mark Millar: Like all the other things I'm setting up in this book, there's just not enough hours in the day for me to write it myself, Ben. I've been finishing Civil War in my six months off and then, after that, I'm jumping into my new creator-owned books for a while.

AlphaFlight.net: I'm curious if you had anything to do with the events in New Avengers #16?

Mark Millar: No, but me, Brian, JMS and all the other writers have been in touch to make sure we're all marching in the same direction. All these events are very important to Civil War.

Ben

ha ha ha ha ha*-

I hope that Alpha Flight haven't been taken out of the picture completely. Even if they got a complete whooping.

Whatever that was that walked through Alphaflight, they better make it the meanest SOB in the history of marvel for walking through characters like Guardian, Shaman and Sasquatch.

Those three characters alone are a hella powerful unit.

Guardian
The Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe - Master Edition #25- Garbage entry, first off as stated when Mac becomes a cyborg his intelligence and reaction time skyrocket since he has a computer for a mind. Also he was a genius before he became a cyborg, not normal intelligence. Another thing is he doesn't have poor hand-to-hand, he has been trained by Puck, Wolverine and Department H. Basically this entry doesn't even mention half the stuff he could do. Click HERE! to see what the stats mean.

Llan The Sorcerer
The Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe - Master Edition #10- Here is Alpha Flight's strongest villian, we don't know much about him so I can't say the stats are 100% accurate. Click HERE! to see what the stats mean.

He can kill Sinister just by blinking, also that's not his true form. He just picked this form to blend in since he wanted to portray a supervillian.

MILLAR PREPARES A NEW ALPHA FLIGHT

At the Alpha Waves message board, Mark Millar has stated that he'll be using "Marvel Civil War", amongst other things, to bring back Alpha Flight. He writes:

"I'm really using Marvel Civil War as a means of re-establishing some of the greatest, sadly missing characters from the MU. I'm very old school, despite being only thirty-six, and put this down to reading Marvel UK reprints as a kid instead of the books you guys were reading in the 80s and 90s. I've got a lot of fond memories for those comics too. Here's hoping it all works out...

Great news.

Hmmm...I could have sworn I posted that interview here, oh well. Yeah I heard about it, great news indeed
