Alpha Flight vs. Atlantis
Alpha Flight #39-Marrina is captured by Attuma and Namor sent for Alpha Flight's aid in the matters. Alpha Flight shows once again they are badass

Feats shown:
-Puck showing his durability falling from the air and agility poping right up in front
-Omnijet travels 3000 miles in less than an hour. It was made by Jeffries and Bochs
-Jeffries makes deep-sea pressure suits for the team
-Guardian's suit can hold the pressure on it's own
-Jeffries transforms 10 tons of plunging debris into a floating life-raft
-Water Spirits warn Shaman of danger
-Aurora carries two Atleanteans one on each arm showing her strength
-Snowbird transforms into a whale
-Shaman commands the air spirits to save Jeffries and to take him to the surface
-Northstar speedblitzes many of the Atleanteans
-Box flies through Atleantean ships
-Aurora does a flashbang under water
-Puck showing his fighting skill
-Snowbird now can leave Canada without weakening and now transform into any animal not even native to Canada. However, she's mortal and can die now
-Puck and Namor are friends, heck Puck even makes a comment towards Namor

Alpha Flight w/Namor vs. Plodex
Alpha Flight #40-After the Avengers and Alpha Flight beat Atlantis and free Marrina, she takes off due to she doesn't want her love and friends to see her in her monster state. Scans 6-7 are suppose to be connected.

Feats shown:
-Jeffries makes a mini-sub from the Omni-jet wreckage
-Northstar speedbltizes Namor
-Marrina goes against her Plodex DNA
-Marrina is speedblitzing the Plodex male
-Guardian II's plasma funnel sears into the creature
-Aurora, Namor and Northstar create an underwater vortex that rips the creature limb from limb
-Marrina and Namor get married

Alpha Flight #30-Here's the detailed designs of the former base of operations for Alpha Flight. This is Sasquatch's old house, where his relative Guilded Lily use to live. The woman who had a romantic affair with the villian Diablo. Pretty awesome base if I don't say so myself

Arctic Base
Alpha Flight #55-Alpha Flight's short-lived Arctic Base, which formerly belonged to the villian Bedlam. Anyways by the end of the issue Madison Jeffries absorbs the entire complex into his armor enlarging his armor over several hundred feet.

Alpha Flight #37-Here's the story of how Pestilence became Pestilence. One of Alpha Flight's strongest villians, for some odd reason Alpha Flight has a very strong rogue gallery but they still don't get respect.

Alpha Flight vs. Pestilence [Part: 1/2]
Alpha Flight #37-Snowbird is pregnant and they have to take her to a place of power in order to deliver the baby. However, Talisman set this up as a trap and her arrgoance became her weakness. Her hatred of her father and unwillingless becoming Talisman prevented her from fully unleashing her actual power. Thankfully later in the series she forgives her father and unleashes the full power of the Talisman. Major error Talisman powers work on ALL evil, not just spirits that's her powers and even without the Talisman she still has strong magical powers. Oh well it's a major error, but the writer at the time wanted to change the lineup.

Feats shown:
-Shaman summons the Magnetic spirit that locks the omni-jet's gyros to the Place of Power
-Shaman summoned wind spirits to increase the omnijet's speed allowing them to keep up with Northstar
-Talisman teleports inside the Omini-jet to the sickbay
-Talisman summons the air spirits to make an air bed for Snowbird
-Talisman read Shaman's mood knowing what he was thinking
-Talisman hinders Shaman's powers preventing him to get aid from the spirits
-Pestilence covers Aurora in maggotts
-Pestilence turns the Box armor into rust
-Pestilence covers Vindicator in a huge swarm of flies
-Pestilence traps Puck below the ice in the freezing water
-Pestilence uses Snowbird's child to be reborn
-Pestilence controls death and decay
-Pestilence instantly ages Shaman into an old man
-Pestilence removes Talisman's Talisman

Alpha Flight #38-The battle continues, and finally this shows how powerful the Talisman really is

Feats shown:
-Talisman prevented Dr.Strange from sensing the evil in the Place of Power
-Guardian II uses her plasma funnerl to destroy the swarm of flies
-Pestilence transforms into James Hudson
-Guardian II isn't fooled and still attacks Pestilence
-Puck thanks to Dr.Srivinda an old hindu taught Puck yoga, that allowed him to slow his breathing and alter his body temperature allowing him to survive in the freezing arctic water.
-Puck grabs Pestilence and throws him into the water
-Northstar creates a vortex to get the maggott's off Aurora
-Aurora does a flashbang that sends the dark worms back into the Earth
-Guardian II sends out careful blasts that vibrate the rust off of Box
-Snowbird transforms into Sasquatch
- "The Great Beasts rule over death and decay, and can emplore death and decay as a weapon against mankind".
-Pestilence summons The Great Beasts and is able to control them
-Alpha Flight knows they don't stand a chance against the Great Beasts
-Shaman becomes the new Talisman
-Talisman can control the Great Beasts more than Pestilence can, but banishes them back to their realm
-Snowbird in Sasquatch form is killing Pestilence

Alpha Flight vs. Asgard
Alpha Flight #82-Sent to Asgard by Talisman, Aurora, Persuasion, Pathway and Gobyln must free Northstar. Talisman sent them here so they could get Northstar so he can help her battle Llan

Feats shown:
-Persuasion uses her powers to freeze Asgardian trolls and get answers from them
-Laura Dean [Pathway] opens up warp gates under the trolls feet sending them away
-Talisman is using the glass oracle, which reveals events anywhere of her choosing
-Laura Dean teleports the team to the world of the Dark Elves
-Persuasion uses her powers to control many Dark Elves to fight each other
-Pathway opens another portal sending the team away from the Dark Elves world
-Talisman teleports the team back to her.

Alpha Flight In Space [Part: 1/2]
Alpha Flight #56-This takes place right after Alpha FLight battled the Great Beasts and Box set off an atomic blast to destroy Tundra. With all this process he went insane due to the Bedlamites in the ship, if they wern't in Bedlam's base when he absorbed it he wouldn't have temporailly lost his minf

Feats shown:
-After Jeffries absorbed Bedlam's complex and growing hundreds of feet. He destroyed his mass setting off an atomic blast. To save himself and Alpha Flight he converted part of his mass into a starship that is going warp speed right now
-Gobyln's claws cuts right through metal
-Manikin unleashes his copies: Apeman, Proto and Highbrow
-Sasquatch and Guardian destroy the Bedlamites
-Manikin showing his genius, being a medical doctor
-Guardian II traps Gobyln in a plasma funnel prison
-Guardian II sending out energy blasts with surgical percision to destroy the cancer cells
-Manikin and Guardian II save Box's mind
-Box ship is capable of going warp speeds

"Alpha Flight" is Marvel's on-again-off-again super hero series created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, and originally launched in their own series by Byrne. That series was probably my favourite Byrne work of all time, and it's one I can regularly return to with much fondness. Marvel, time for an Essential Volume, no?
Anyway, since then, Marvel have regularly disbanded the team, banded them again, killed them, brought them back to life, and put them through all sorts of creative and commercial loops before recently killing them all off again. It's part of strategy that will see a relaunch, the new team and status quo being set up in "Civil War" by Mark Millar. So, what's the new twist that will give Alpha Flight that all important edge? White text for the sensitive amongst you.
Spoiler:
The new Alpha Flight series will be manned by American heroes who have moved to Canada as a result of the government legislation enacted in the 'Civil War' megacrossover. It plays off the history of Americans escaping the draft during the Vietnam War, as well as recent declarations by certain people that they'd move to Canada if Bush was re elected (and then not). It's politically observant, satirical, colonialist and intentionally controversial. And leading the team? Captain America, obviously.
You've got to hand it to Millar. That'll set the message boards buzzing.
