He's saying that it's the same situation as a Hulk vs. Thor fight. Both Thor and Superman are WAY too versatile to lose to Hulk.

Mass and Energy are both variables in this equation, with the speed of light being the only constant. The equation doesn't work otherwise. A higher amount of energy will have a higher amount of mass and vice versa. So once gain you're wrong.
Rescent findings show that the speed of light is not as immutable as previously thought. There is evidence in the early stages of the universe it was faster.
