Assuming for one second it DID have the force necessary to exert the work necessary to move the object even an inch... How did the object end up with superman simply pushing his way through...

And all this is based upon him being a solar battery under a yellow sun....
When most of the time he walks around with ONLY his face exposed to collect the precious energy he needs... The man would logically be more powerful walking around half or all naked! But somehow flying up into the sun to bath in it's light.... All he needs is for the radiation to hit his face...
And let's also completely acknowledge the science behind how a man can vibrate fast enough to disperse his molecules.... And YET! somehow later have his mass come back together on his own applying... Nothing? The fact that he is no longer in motion? But once in motion always on motion unless acted upon by an opposing force!!

C’mon dude, is there text from the hulk saying I wish these guys were thousands of times stronger? No! He said I was hoping for a real fight. All you have is the Bi-beast saying that he was” A “thousand times stronger". How do you have wendigo screaming in pain after getting his tail bit? Actually we don't know how Superman's powers work. If we did then we can say for sure what is right and what is wrong. We know that sun light is the catalyst. That doesn't mean that sun light itself is the only source of energy. I went to John Byrne's site a long time ago and I and others were asking him about this. We asked is if Superman's power is part psionic as to why he can exert more energy than the Sunlight provides in a lifetime. He confirmed that it was true. Now in the comic it doesn't explain that but it was his opinion that it is the case. Also, Morrison suggested on the 'hypermetabolism' of solar energy for energy generation via Unified Field/Big Bang.
So Bryne suggests that Superman uses sunlight and his great willpower to tap into another dimension of power while Morrison suggests that Superman uses sunlight to generate energy via a unified field of the zero point energy, which is located everywhere in the universe. My point is that it is possible that Superman can do feats from less sunlight energy that the feat requires.
We don't know how Superman's flying works. He could be controlling gravity around him to do it. Gravity can control time and space. That means he could shunt the effects of relativity anytime he wants. He could use relativity or shunt it, his choice.
It was explained in comics that Superman got his powers from many many years of absorbing solar energy (from a baby to a man). In the movie, just being near a sun would power him up fully (even as a baby). Reread "Return of Superman" to understand my point here.
We don't know how Superman's vibration works, maybe there is some string forces that bind the molecules so that they can come back together. There exists scientific explanations for any of Superman's powers, even why he can move objects much bigger without breaking them.
Now Superman is factually impossible, but not logically impossible. I argue against the contradiction (or the logically impossible). I also like to calculate quantifiable feats. As far as picking and choosing, I only choose the feats that are calculable vs. the ones that are not. I only allow the feats that are factually impossible but not logically impossible. That's why I don't ever bring up Superman lifting infinite weight to support an argument that he is stronger than character X.
