You were too quick to close that last thread, P.R.

I was just about to answer the following:

do you see why Superman fans think he wins? I would have to forget that I have speed much much faster than yours, and fight slow.

Or just fight at the speed Superman normally does?

Deliberately overlooking the following, D.S. ?

"Normally" is open to interpretation though.

okay Superman vs locomotives...his best time for stopping them?

Deliberately overlooking the fact that Hulk managed to land the first punch, sending me flying, bluewater?

If I was overlooking it, the Hulk would never have even hit me in the first place. In character, however, that's how it goes. Superman goes up against someone, they catch him by surprise, and clocks him. Once he's been hurt and dazed, then he knows he can take the kid gloves off.

You have to do better than that to try and win points off me!

Already got some from you earlier tonight; think you're better off doing this at a different time. I will certainly understand if you need to retire for the evening.

At least you retreated to a thread where you'll have some help this time ...

Whenever you get around to it, though, kindly explain to me how, AFTER he was hurt and dazed and knew he could "take the kid gloves off" with the very Hulk-like figure of Darkseid here, who is really using little more than pure strength in the image attachment of this post ...

... explain to me how this instance shows that Superman football-blitzed and then continued moving too fast to counter
and used ice-breath and heat vision and the whole 9 yards to win this battle ... exactly as you're proposing he'd do for Hulk:

Huh?

Note, by the way, I am giving you that Superman hurried to get IN Darkseid's face. DCnU Superman, at least, engages in the same kind of "blitzing" that Superboy Prime is occasionally wont to do.

The following IS the scene just before Superman's direct re-engagement, grapple, and capture via bearhug by Darkseid ...

P.R.'s right -- you don't seem to be aware that the following is what happened the last time Superman tried to stop a locomotive:

That wasn't why I asked. Just seemed like an odd question.

Actually, I am still awaiting your reply, so alas for you, still 0 points for team bluewaterrider. No retreat, if anything, I might leave out of boredom, having heard nothing from you. Shall I perhaps bump the thread for you?

With regards to your use of DCnU Superman - guess you missed the bit where I was using Post Crisis, post John Byrne Superman but NOT using DCnU, right?

Comprehension is your friend. Pay attention to the details, and the details will pay attention to you.

Maybe this is a good thread to talk about some of the conclusions you reached in the other thread - I certainly won't want people to miss out on the sheer juiciness of your ideas.

So Hulk can fly and swoop around, is that right?

Its pretty good, I must admit. Don't reply, and declare yourself the winner.

I like it.

100% success rate.

Not yet - I haven't left yet.

Much like Susan on prom night, he has underestimated both my enthusiasm and my persistence.
