He was lifting the earth's weight for five days with no sunlight. Sunlight he constantly absorbs while in the presence of it.

Carver, you know the Hulk better than anyone I know.

Can he fly?

Yes

Now apologize to Carver, and call him sir! b_hulk

Superman works like a solor battery...maybe 5 days is not a issue for his body cells...

Back, back reptile! Begone to the primordial swamp from which you oozed!

Just saw your post.

So even though he's lifting, you still don't accept that he's using strength? Even though he's strapped to the machine he lifts?

I understand Villelater's point perfectly.

Superman was strapped to the machine he's moving around here, too.
Just happens to be an entire ship, not just a machine in a room.

The fact that he's strapped all the while and doesn't LOOK like he's flying doesn't change the fact that he is, indeed, flying; not using what we think of as his actual superstrength.

Still not valid or applicable to pre-reboot Superman post-Byrne.

And Byrne era (Not sure if it was by Byrne or Jurgens) did a story where a villain specifically sends robots and fights him at night to test his power consumption, and he does get a lot weaker. Wins all his battles though, of course.

OK, so prove it.

Just like you're meant to prove I am who you think I am.

But you will ignore it and not say a word....

DS was talking about DCnU Superman and the Bench Press Earth Machine, P.R.

Still not applicable, bluewater. There are many differences between your old scans and my new, latest versions.

For example, if I recall, Pa and Ma Kent are dead in DCnU. Not in Byrne era. Just a small example of a major change.

If you want to prove that they are the same, go ahead. I'll wait.

That's more impressive than stopping it while it's on the tracks.

Regardless of its collective rating, it was certainly cool to see this back in the day ...
