There is no god...

Have you seen Him? If you haven't, why do you believe in Him?

There was once a man who climbed a mountain to hear the words of a wise man. The wise man told him "you are God". The man was amazed by this revelation and went on with his life as if he was God. One day he was standing in the road and an elephant was coming the other way. The man thought to himself "I am God and the elephant can not hurt me". Well, the elephant picked up the man and tossed him to the side of the road. The man was puzzled by this; "how could that have happened to me, I am God". So, the man climbed back up the mountain and asked the wise man "why did this happen?”. The wise man looked at him and said "didn't you see God coming down the road?".

Ok, so from what I read there is Christian God doesnt exist and Jesus was a popular priest.

Most of Christianity say that Jesus is god....."God made flesh"...sacrificed himself for mankind, but you must believe that to be saved from hell.

Others believe they are separate..3....Father, Son and Holy Ghost...but still one...and some......OH god....why do I bother......there's only 2....the spirit is something else.....

😂

This is one great thread

I disagree with your last statement. We are all here to live our lives as best as we can. If someone believes is a god, it does not matter. What matters is what we do. If we use god to do evil then we are wrong. If we use god to do good, then we are right. If you change someone change their believe in god, they would still have to choose to do good or evil with that new information. Knowledge is not what sets us free, we are.

Here is your quote shakyamunison, you believe the ignorance of believing in god does not matter. I disagreed and posted why I did so.

If I am not mistaken, there was an incident involving the famous sage, Sri Ramakrishna (who was actually Swami Vivekananda's master). When Vivekananda approached Ramakrishna and asked him if he has seen god, Ramakrishna said, "I see god as I see you,". Is that what you believe in Shakyamunison, that god is in everyone? If you believe in it, have you seen Him in you or is it just a faith?

I see God in everything and everyone. We (and that includes everything) are part of God. 😄

And yes, I am a Buddhist. I use the term God as an expedient means to convey to you a concept. The term I use in my faith is "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo".

I had to think about this one for a minute.

If you live in a house, do you see walls?; is another way to say that. Think about the wonders of an atom, then about a molecule, then about a cell, then about the human body. If you do not see God in that, you never will see God in anything.

😄

God is a creative force, and so are we...We draw to us what we think upon...We are always in the state of creation or should I say creating....

There is also a verse that says "So, as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is."......You become.....you attract.......you create......There is no god that is wanting us to do his will.....It's like in unison....a force that more does our will......Attraction creation process.....If the world goes to pot, then we willed it to happen.....too many negatives and not enough posssitives.....The universe gives you want you want.....Never say "I want" in front of your sentences...because you will always get just that..."Want"...and wanting is not the same as having....

Ah, the one great debate....and a major cause of almost all modern Human conflict - the question of Religion, and whether or not there is a God!

Personally, if there is a God, I think the Human race as a whole would've been better off not knowing that there was a God - it may have perhaps been wiser for Him to not come forth.

Your definition of God is not the God I am talking about. It is unimportant if we believe in God or not. The Christan god needs us, the God I am talking about does not need. However, we have needs and so a small part of God needs. 😄

I think as children or very small we are taught to ignore the truth in us with words like "don't feel that way, don't cry, don't don't...etc." which children feel, lf they cannot trust their own gut, then what do they do now???...So they turn to what's told to them...the Religions they are taught....Ignoring everything that has to do with and suppression of the "What and Who" they are....Then as adults....we don't even recognize the feeling anymore....ie....preprogrammed......Better words would not be "don't, or you shouldn't feel", but "Why?" do you feel....Then explore that......The part of us that would lead us to see....Generally I know when I'm not in my truth of what I am when I feel discomfort in my throat, chest, but especially my stomach.....It's there for a reason...that is our knowing/eternal part trying to communicate to our fleshly self....IMO.....It should make you question "why" not "don't or shouldn't" 😄...

The lower 6 worlds are blinding;

Hell - all we can see is suffering.
Hunger - all we can see is desire.
Animality - all we can see is domination.
Anger - all we can see is hate.
Heaven - all we can see is pleasure.
Humanity - all we can see is compassion.

The "gut" you are talking about is from the four higher worlds of Learning, Realization, Bodhisattva & Buddhahood. These worlds allow us to see beyond the boundaries of the world we are in at the time.

😖mart:

Where did this "chanting spam" come from? 😕

By saying you don't beleive in god you are practically asking people to start forcing their religions on you.
