Nataku vs. Khellendros

Battle Location: A meat locker. The temperature is -10 degrees Celcius (i.e. damn cold). The dimensions of the room are 150 x 200 x 50 meters (width x length x height). Massive shelves form a veritable library of dead animals and slabs of meat hang precariously from hooks all about the place, meaning it's hard to see far in any direction. The room is dimly lit, some lights flicker on and off intermittently, but it is not completely dark by any means. The floor, walls, and roof are indestructible and do not conduct energy well.

Character Notes: Darth Maul cannot use the Force actively. It has been stripped from him. Overt TK or telepathy with it is not allowed. He can use it to act as a Force-sense in battle, and to increase his running speed, but nothing else. Nat has argued an increased mastery over the Force due to Azreal's concentration. This may or may not happen, and each voters can decide for himself how much this will help. If the Predator has any sort of nuclear bomb attached to him, it’s banned.
Lightsabers: Can cut through flesh fairly easily and light types of armor and/or weaponry. However, nigh-indestructible materials such as adamantium, promethium, vibranium, or similarly tough substances will stop a lightsaber, and most armor and metal will slow the blades but not completely stop them (titanium, most types of armor, etc.)

Character Notes: Blink - Blink can teleport herself, but cannot teleport another person (parts or whole). She can, however, teleport objects hurled at her if she has the skill to pick them off in the air before they hit her. Her projectiles can significantly damage a person, with the molecular displacement affect acting as a moderate concussive force. 4-5 such projectiles can impact with the force of a standard grenade (enough to blow up or at least significantly damage, say, a car). Individual projectiles will cause damage to any substance (even the uber-tough stuff) but denser materials (diamond, adamantium, etc.) will be damaged but remain essentially intact unless totally bombarded with projectiles (i.e. highly unlikely). MN'er staff has been shown to break metal fairly easy (with proper force applied). It will be assumed to be about as hard as diamond.

I probably wont get a good argument going till the Battlegrounds honor holiday is over on World of Warcraft, if you don't mind Khell, try to save your arguments for like Monday/Tuesday.

Eh, I'm not gonna post arguments per se, I'm just gonna post Grailnighter's bio again and a couple random things.

Midnighter:
Mind, abilities, skills, body (with all its enhancements), weapons.

Blink:
Powers/abilities (including agility), skills/memories of effective use of her powers, javelins.

Grail:
Symbiote, powers(chi), skills/memories.

Real name: Joel Alonday Ferguson

--Abilities:
Grailnighter has been called the embodiment of melee/close quarters combat. He is a highly trained martial arts expert who has had the opportunity to put his years of training into real life practice fighting alongside Sabretooth and in Wetworks. Along with martial arts and extensive weapons training training, Joel is experienced in infiltration and sabotage as a former member of a black ops team of super beings. To maintain his deadly edge, he dedicates himself to his training in the hopes of elevating his physical performance beyond its current limits. The methodologies Joel has put to use range from the most basic tenets of the Zen monk to radical procedures- including electrical muscle stimulation.

--Powers:
Joel is a mutant artificial enhancile. He's tough and very fast, with carbons reinforcing his muscles and bones. He has also had memory induction and neural implantation along with sophisticated scanning technology; in his head, a fight can be run from a million different angles before one punch is thrown. He has demonstrated that he can move in short bursts of speed, faster then the eyes can see. It's also known that he can go at least four months without eating and still survive as well as exist in an anaerobic environment.

Like all members of Wetworks, Grailnighter is bonded to a symbiote which normally hides inside him, but can flow out to coat his skin with a golden (or, in his case, pale blue) armour. As well as increasing his durability considerably, this enhances his strength and reflexes. He also has a telepathic link with the other symbiote wearers, the rest of Wetworks.

Grailnighter was a martial arts expert, whose "chi" was enhanced by his symbiote - after a while his Gold began to glow with a blue-white light, called a Chi-State, which enhanced his durability even further, allowed him to charge hand-to-hand weapons with chi, fire destructive chi blasts, burn organic matter on contact with his energy, create forcefields that protect him from all directions, create containment fields around others, and create various energy containment and jamming fields. In addition to enhancing strength and invulnerability, the symbiotes will take active steps to prevent injury to their wearer, including darkening or closing off the eyes and ears, forming hard airtight carapace for space survival, and even thickening itself in places where more protection is needed.

Joel is a mutant able to create teleportation warps. He can use these warps on himself or other objects. He will sometimes imbue small javelins with his teleportation powers and throw them at his targets, disrupting them on a molecular level.

Strength-wise, without the symbiote, Joel's strength is rated at the 3 ton level. The other humans in Wetworks, when bonding with symbiotes, experienced a strength increase of approximately 20 times. Meaning that a human with a lifting strength of 500 pounds (the original Grail) would be able to lift up to five tons. Joel, experiencing this same proportionate increase, is rated at the 60 ton level.

Though his running speed is impressive, what really makes Grailnighter deadly is his reaction speed. Before the neural induction, Joel was fast enough that Hyperion admitted he matched him in that one area, though he (Joel) was outclassed in all others. With the enhancements, Grailnighter is able to dodge laser blasts at point blank range from expert marksman, dodge attacks from multiple directions, and even outmaneuver legitimate speedsters.

--Weapons:
In adition to a collapsible staff and a pair of Escrima sticks, Grailnighter also carries a supply of his serrated razorwheels and a quiver of javelins.

K. The temp of the room won't effect me because the Wetworks symbiotes can provide protection agaisnt the cold and vacuum of space (they can't provide breathable air, but that's okay, because my guy can exist in an environment completely absent of oxygen). Unfortunately for him, Nataku has the body of a Pred, who thrive in hot jungle-like climates, and who get weak in the cold.

So, he said Monday/Tuesday. I'll split the difference and post an actual opening strategy late tonight, after midnight Central time.

EDIT: Also, I heard recently that the symbiotes contain their wearers body heat, meaning they don't show up on infrared scopes. Not sure if that's BS, so I'm gonna try and confirm since that would be kinda useful against a Predator.

Preds can do very well actually. If anything, pred-ness will protect him in cold. In 'Predator: Cold War', they were running around the frozen arctic in negative temperatures, wearing nothing but those little skimpy light armors, and still kicking ass just the same.

Predators aren't WEAK in the cold, they just dislike it. Over a long period of time it would affect them, but not in a short fight. Nevermind the fact that Azrael's armor will keep my pred warm as well.

Okay then. Just to make it perfectly clear, the whole "Preds get weak in the cold" thing is OFFICIALLY STRICKEN FROM MY ARGUMENTS. I want to make that very very clear so that no one chooses that one little argument to base their vote on, completely ignoring the vast majority of my points. Okay.

Since this is an enclosed space, and you can only be so far away, this isn't going to be a " 'port around and snipe at you" type of battle. During the last few seconds of prep I put up a shield. Basically, I'm just going to turn you into swiss cheese with my chield. On of the things Grail can do is change the shape of his shields, making them into combination offense and defense. being backed up by class 30ish strength, the chi spikes will puncture Azreal's clothing. If you try to cut your way through my shield, I'll blast you before you can reach me. You can dodge, but there's only so far you can run in this freezer, so I will get you eventually. I'm gonna go upload scans of Grail doing this right now, just to prove that I'm not full of sh*t.

Here it is. His bodyweight is sufficient to drive them through a bunch of bulletproof dwarves.

I just realized this battlefield made an appearence in 'Predator 2'.😆

I remembered that too. Yet another reason why I dropped it.

My armor is far more than bulletproof. Show me some scans of it doing damage to some seriously heavily armored opponents. I have Predator armor ontop of my Azrael armor, and I'm wearing medium class, pack leader armor.

Can I get some info on how durable that shield is? can it take blasts from my plasmacaster and/or my lightsaber?

Both questions aside, your only chance is to make a flat wall to crush me, because, as the scan showed, he had to (I'm assuming here, feel free to prove me wrong) use his hands to guide the shape of the forcefield. I can easiliy sense your movements and avoid the oncoming attack. Nevermind the fact that I can jump roughly 25 feet in the air, kick off a wall, flip, and land way far away, firing my shoulder cannon as I go. Another note, if I leap at you and you send a spike at me, I can grasp said spike and use that to manipulate my movements as I jump, unless he can control the shield on extremely delicate levels. (Nevermind that using the shield as a weapon seems like a use of TK to me, Digi can rule on that)

If the shield cannot hold up, and you decide to fire chi blasts at me or warp around, I can deflect chi blasts and use eccentric movements to avoid your attacks and to force you to teleport around the room.

titanium max... as per tourney rules

Titanium max, then I can blast it open easily with several plasma caster shots, and a quick slash from my lightsaber will bring me inside and into melee range, where I am the most dangerous.

I can seal the breaches as fast as you can make them, and let us not forget Blink's powers. If I so choose, I can and will redirect your shots back at you if there's a risk they will hit me. Also, my trusty staff is always at hand, for redirections and melee if needed. This thing survived being plunged into the heart of the sun, so I think it'll hold up well to a lightsaber. Also, if you get past my shield, you're just as likely to get torn open with a big blast of chi.

By the way, how well do lightsabers to against energy fields? I know they don't generally cut other lightsabers, and they actually deflect laser blasts instead of letting it pass through. I'm starting to doubt you'll even be able to cut through my forcefield in the first place.
