Science DNA?....How far should it go?

Science has been able to accomplish so much, even to the extent that we are not aware of....Do you think it is acceptable to blend DNA from one species to another...Example blend a rat and a human for the growth of ears, or pigs with human DNA for organs.....I'm not sure if a thread has been done like this before, but was curious how far do you think science should go in these exhaustive experiments....and what are to become of what they have created in the name of science....

no not at all... I believe that science will the the salvation for the human race not some book with some supernatural events....

well eventually i'm guessing that we'll have to resort to living on water under water and such....sooo i'm guess that we as people will have a marine animal or something like that in the human part of us..

No no...I mean what to do with the new creatures we've been making...the ones that have part of human in them and part animal?...From what I've heard about some, they have some human brain cells in them.....so, does that make that rat more rational than a normal rat would be?....would it start to be in confusion on what is happening to it?....What would we consider it to be?...How would we treat it????

Though they are only being created for harvesting.....

I'm starting to suspect Spelljammer is an experiment by someone for undisclosed purposes.

Or possibly a comedian creating material for an upcoming book.

The idea that these are the genuine thoughts of a sentient, non-ironic lifeform is, thankfully, becoming ever more remote.

I guess yes, It is ethics...but how would these part human and part animals be treated, and where does one be considered enough human to count for something instead of like lab rats?....Hmmmmmm

That raises a whole other debate about human experiments and animal experiments.

Animals that are experimented on are clearly distressed already.

I don't think the intention has ever been to create proto-humans from which to harvest parts in any case.

I would quite like to pursue Spelljammer's idea though, and have snake DNA inserted into mine, that I may demand tax breaks.

If they acted reasonably intelligent, He'd be more then happy to accept a new breed of humankind. Alebit He'd never mate with one, but I wouldn't mind having a next door neighbor who was elephant man. Litteraly.

Well, it's thier free will SpellJammer guesses. If they don't want to be a puppet to science they shouldn't have to be. Unless they were prisoners ofcourse. Then it's good game..

NO.....Science doesn't give them a choice...they just do it......It's in Science magazines all the time....there is no choice for those creations.

OH NOOOOO its the Island of Dr Moreau........HG Wells is just beyond his day🙂 Anyway if thats any indicator which it should be as evolution.....(or if you don't like evolution) change will occur in these animals if man should learn one thing we SUCK at controlling nature.....

I am very against this research however that certainly doesn't mean it won't occur in the relatively near future.
