Not really the SAME powers. Firestorm can manipulate matter and all, but it's a joke next to the power cosmic.

Okay, well, Firestorm has some control over matter and energy, but not to the god-like extent that Surfer has in the form of the power cosmic. Plus, I can't think of a single thing Firestorm could do to hurt SS.

It depends on which Firestorm we're talking. Current one gets stomped but the classic Firestorm (Ronnie and Professor Stein) can probably take Surfer a few times. The man was an absolute genius.

Firestorm and Surfer don't have the same powers, just similar powers.

Man, I have GOT to learn more about Dc characters. I had no clue FS could manipulate energy too.

FS can manipulate everything now, I think. Even organic stuff.
