What you dont seem to be able to get into your skull is that over the last 3 and a half years by all accounts in Marvel comics Jean and Phoenix are one. Ideas which contradicted fundamental points of the 86 retcon were first published in 2002 were published and since then they have been supported right up until Endsong a few months back.
Please understand the concept of RETCON.
