That's true, but then there are very few videogames which market sex as a beautiful and natural thing. If and when games use sex as a selling point, it's obviously going to be geared towards the consumer majority; which is young males, hence the generally sexist content. It probably has something to do with wanting to shield kids from getting it into their heads that it's ok to exploit women, treat them like objects and whatnot. They've obviously never watched MTV for more than 2 seconds.

Proof that there are worce things on TV then in games.

Parents are just placing the blame on someone else. Their kids are bad and misbehave a lot so its the school's fault. Parents need to suck it up and take the responsibility for themselves to raise their kids.

Ok..this was an old fact but...i realy dont think mortal combat is so bad for kids...i mean it toughens them up a bit..trust me
buuuuuuuut..to the topic of what i was saying..people were allways saying that maortal combat is a "bad influence on children"but cmon...really think about it..are kids really going to go around ripping people in half or ripping out their spines I MEAN CMOOOON
but i mean sex and violence in games arent a problem..if u get rid of violence sex drugs ex.your left with mario games..(very fun) or other games but your also left with bad games that arent fun......

so all im saying is super mama cookoff or whatever isnt a game for kids its a game for CRACK ADDICTS buti gatta say...kids..obey the game ratings.cmon kids if it says not for children under 13,14,17,18,or adults,DONT GET IT UNLESS UR MATURE ENOUGH like my friend..hese kinda young but hese like all calm and grown up and always beats me at tekken "_" raaaghhhhhhhh but whatever just remember what i said..games are the foundation for kids these days so dont attack them people

all BS, for all the violence, sex, drugs they have in games, people should realy realise that its a game, its not real, and its rated unlike many TV programs that just come on, sometimes not even warning people of whats in it, i mean i remember watching some cartoons at a young age and then Predator 2 comes on and ime like, coooool

but yeh its not thinking of TV

Movies are rated much the same way video games are. There are movies directed for children and movies directed solely towards adults. They allow extreme violence and sex in movies, Censoring Mature rated games in fear that a child will acquire the game says that the rating system doesnt work and that no one puts much confidence in it.

As more and more gamers grow into adults and go on to dominate video game sales. Im sure, then, we will see less censorship in mature rated video games. Its all about money. Although, Adults today, are responsible for a large portion of sales. The younger demographic still out buy adult purchases. This, is why, i believe hardened developers do cave and agree to cater to the extremist groups protesting lude and graphic violence.

I dont believe violence in entertainment has any bearing on inspiring violent personalities in youth. I believe it falls more onto tangible environment such as parental guidance and society
