Ballister- can you better justify why your idea is in Hosted?
inuyashapuppy!!, I am afraid your idea doesn't really strike me as a Hosted game either.
Both Sonic and FF_ I see little prospect of them ever getting Hosted approval. They look like vague ideas slapped down, not fully designed games. It takes MUCH more than an idea to makje a Hosted game; it takes dedicated preparation effort.
Kingdubya and Lyla, I am more convinced by what you have put together, but I would like a few more details about how the game will be run and more rules detail (what are the limits, exactly?) so I can feel a bit more satisfied.

The Wizard War - A back story to Harry Potter
Ok Ush. Here goes
The story runs parallel with Harry Potter books, starting with the Triwizard tournament and an investigation from 6 selected students (NPCs), 2 from beauxbatons, two from hogwarts, two from Durmstang, these students will carry out an investigation in and out of Hogwarts in order to catch Barty Crouch jr.
It has been made my choice to have all NPC's in year 6 or 7 of magical shooling, since it is most probable younger students cannot defend themselves as good as an advanced student. And you cannot justify the knowledge of complex spells without falling into a sort of Godmode.
I'm preparing the character sheet to include: statistics (Level,Str,Dex,Will, etc) and also I'm including a path selection...It is basically designed to make the NPC choose what path he will follow, there are three kinds: Path of Wisdom, Path of Valor and Path of Might. Path of Wisdom is for a wizard to become a Scholar, and Valor is for Aurors and Might is for mostly dark wizards. There are also light and dark points, according to the path you choose to follow, if you do evil, you will have dark points and you will not be able to cast powerful spells that are light in nature or if you have a big amount of dark points your ability to use light powers will be zero. It's the exact same thing with Light points.
Spells will be bought with skill points, there are three kinds: Cannonical, Non Cannonical and Unforgivable...These spells have been separated, Cannonical (Light), Non Cannonical (universal) and Unforgivable(dark).
Equipment: I have designed the Equipment store to resemble that of Dungeons and Dragons, so many are the same but also adding school material and other stuff.
Rules: No godmoding (everything like: "I'm a supreme all powerfull being able to whoop everything in the universe" is forbidden).
No controling other people's characters.
No more than 1 character is permitted per Player.
Questions and other stuff PM me before anything.
No calling other people names, no excesive cursing.
Once in the game player assumes his character's role so no off topic conversation or questions, or I will assume your character asked them.
All results of battles, and specially between characters are mine to decide, no questioning.
No one can be a character from the movie unless they ask me, and even then it is not completely certain, if I decide it conflicts with what I've got planed then it's a definite no no.
Certain events will be changed to acomodate the story, but essentialy keeping the original content of the books.

Story: Doctor Eggman is trying to collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds to give Chaos his ultimate power and to destroy Station Square. Now Sonic and co must defeat Eggman but you (your character) will make the ultimate decision whether to be a hero or a foe by aiding the quest to defeat Eggman or trying to destroy Station Square.
Abilites/Powers: If you haven't seen you character do it since Sonic Adventure he doesn't have it for example: Knuckles and Tails had the spin dash from S&K and down but you never seen them do it in Sonic Adventure and up so Tails and Knuckles will not be able to use spin dash. Once you post your character I can give you a full ability list for that character (Like Amy using the Pika Pika Hammer)
Equipment: Special power-ups (Like Sonic's lightspeed shoes or Knuckles' shovel claws) will be equiped to your character depending on the corse you take for expamle: you may use get the lightspeed shoes early if you stick to the hero side and a lot later if you go to the dark.
Rules: No god moding
No one (expect Shadow and Metal Sonic) can keep up with Sonic
No one (expect Mecha Knuckles and maybe Shadow/Big) can equal Knuckles in strength
Tails/Eggman are the only 2 people trained to use heavy machines (like the Tornado 2)
Must have a picture of your character at the start or when they change (Sonic into Super Sonic)
Characters battles:
I do not want to see "I punched Sonic and he got knocked out" because Sonic can dodge the attack and why would he get knocked out. I will determine when a character has reached their limits and can no longer fight.
