You may be right. But if it is a mental illness, then it cannot be a choice at the same time.
However, I don't see how you define it as an illness. There is nothing unhealthy or life threatening about being Gay. Homosexuality by itself is not dangerous to one's health.

Why isn't it considered such by the mental health profession? Why does not psychological body advise or claim such? In fact they haven't for decades? And that flies in the face of your previous argument regarding how gays will die out because they can't reproduce. And in the face of your argument it is choice.
Because you do realise people don't have control over such things as hormonal imbalances - this means you God made them homosexual.
And why exactly is being homosexual so bad that it is worth inflicting a life time of hormonal control on a person? You do realise hormonal imbalances aren't just "take a pill and your imbalance is balanced" don't you? That it is a long term thing?
