The church felt so many things were sins....I really wonder why they would enact so many rules?? Even the "Do women have souls."...Lets have a council to vote on it....Gee...We were considered as low as pets...animals....

If a woman died giving birth,in most cases ,the church would denie her a Christian burial.If she lived it was mandatory for her to spend 40 to 80 days in church isolation to be cleaned of her thilth.Pretty crazy.

I have confidence that if he is as good as he was described he would have done just that, as there is no way it is, or should be, a sin. And we must remember the whole "He who is without sin...."

Of course he has another choice besides punishing them! If God is as all loving as He is made out to be, then why would He damn someone to hell for such a superficial thing as their weight?! That's probably one of the silliest things I've ever heard. What if the overweight people in question were wheelchair bound, then would God punish them for not exercising and losing weight like He wants them to? Since it's oh so important to Him what His people look like.

Yes, I think it's hypocrisy. For such a supposedly "good" God, he seems prone to doing rather harsh, silly and unjust things.

Well according to the church...You not only suffer in life, but then are condemned to burn then you get a break for the Judgement, and then you are thrown back into hell to finish out our sentence....

At least you get a small break.

Jesus was a symbol of the margenised people, in those days they were poor, slaves, people who prayed to one god, etc.

Today it would be people of colour, gays, etc.etc. anyone who is ''othered''.

Jesus stood for margenised people of those times, and im sure he would be pissed if he saw the discrimination done in his name.

In the bible it clearly states that man is to like women and women is to like man. 📖 So being Gay IS a sin and forever will be. Also it's just plain sick! 😘

according to the bible, it is unethical, but i personally believe their is nothing wrong with it and i dont think if someone is gay they'll go to hell. i think as long as they lived a good life god will accept them
