And saying that one is "converted" back to being straight is a bunch of bull
I happen to be gay, and never in my life said "Hey today I feel like being straight"..."Oh and now I feel like being gay or hey lets go both ways!"
I can not help who I am attracted to...saying that being gay is a sin is like saying God is a sinner...
But we are all sinners...we lie, cheat, murder...so is murder "more of a sin" then being gay???

Sexual orientation, whether it be heterosexual or homosexual does not appear to be something that one chooses. Studies indicate that sexual orientation has a genetic or biological component, and is determined before or shortly after birth. Like heterosexuals, gays and lesbians discover their sexuality as a process of maturing; they are not recruited, seduced or taught to be homosexual.
According to the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association, homosexuality is not an emotional or mental disorder:
Gay people grow up in all types of homes, with all types of families. They represent every socioeconomic, ethnic, and religious background possible. "There is evidence that parents have little to no influence over the outcome of the sexual orientation of their children under normal upbringing conditions." However, the attitude of a parent can influence the way a child chooses to relate to his or her sexuality, whether it be heterosexual or homosexual.
Consider that many people suffer from all types of abuse and neglect as children, yet grow up to be heterosexual. Many people, both heterosexual and homosexual, have had bad experiences with a person of the opposite sex. There is no correlation between any of these occurrences and homosexuality.

The American Academy of Pediatrics states: "Therapy directed at specifically changing sexual orientation is contraindicated, since it can provoke guilt and anxiety while having little or no potential for achieving changes in orientation."
The American Medical Association "does not recommend aversion therapy for gay men and lesbians. Through psychotherapy, gay men and lesbians can become comfortable with their sexual orientation and understand the societal response to it."
The American Psychiatric Association states: "There is no published scientific evidence supporting the efficacy of reparative therapy as a treatment to change ones sexual orientation." The American Psychiatric Association also states: "gay men and lesbians who have accepted their sexual orientation positively are better adjusted than those who have not done so."
Moreover, I also feel sorry for Mike Haley, "former homosexual," but not for the same reasons you do.
mike Haley didn't lie about what he said. you have to be in his shoes, he was a former homosexual, he said it is never sexual if happened because as a boy he never had his needs met until later. When he was a homosexual he always had guilt even through he enjoyed being gay. He said God was trying to direct him back to the right way, but he turned it down every time. Mike Haley talked about the same things you posted. He talked differently and in a personal experience on how he got right with god. That is really good posting but still it lacks something and that is from a personal experience.

If he was enjoying himself why did he quit? Why not continue in your life of happyness and pleasure. I say, **** god, he's done nothing for me, he's only made life worse for bohemians like myself. That's why I'm atheist.

I was saying that in the context of a gay persons point of veiw, I myself fail to see why I added that. I see no proof that gos exists so I dont belive in him. A gay person would refute god for the biased opinions made on his lifestyle because of religion.

Mike Haley is still a homosexual with a psychological attraction to members of the same sex. His sexual orientation has not changed. He has simply been convinced during conversion therapy to confine his relationships to members of the opposite gender.
I feel sorry for Mike Haley, "former homosexual," because he is so indoctrinated that he is willing to undergo a "therapy" that uses questionable methods, the efficacy of which is proven to be 100% unsuccessful, is potentially harmful to his mental well being, and is rejected by every reputable mental health orginization.

Population control. It ha been found that in communities of rats, as the population rises so does the occurrence of rat homosexuality. This act as a balancing agent to keep the population in check.
