I go to a christian church that supports homosexuality. I am personally gay (first time I said that on this site) so I of course disagree with the "religious" perspective on the issue, however I respect all opinions, and am never opposed to somone simply because they are opposed to me.
Besides if this whole gospel stuff is true I'll be sent to hell for way more reasons than just being gay.
They don't necessarily oppose you, rather the lifestyle you lead... I'm sure you can disagree with many aspects of a person but still like them or whatever.

big difference with having an opinion and deciding you are right by might
Might doesn't make you right. I just makes everyone else less right.
In the bible it is a sin. As far as it being so frowned upon that notion is ridiculous. From a scientific point it doesn't make since, but why is it any of anyone elses business who someone likes or loves? I'm pretty sure it is the last of worries of God. Why is it ok for a straight person to be married and hate their spouse, but not okay for a gay person to marry and love their spouse? Hating gay people is being as big of a bigot as it was to hate black people, women, jews, islamic people, or any other group. Hate on their actions towards others, not on their sexual orientation which does not effect you in the least. And for the record I am not gay, never would be and find it disgusting. I just don't think it's any of my business to tell someone who they are allowed to love, or to tell them they are living in sin for it.
