No, you got it backward. If you have a small population homosexuality can be a threat to the population. Also, you have given yourself away with a Freudian slip, homosexuality is one word, to make two words out of it is to use the turm homo, and that is only used by bigots.

As a population decreases so do the factors that keep it in check.

The way to stay alive in the time of the bible was to have as many people around you as possible, this is how cities came about, for protection. To keep you safe, you had to have the next generation. So you did everything you could to have as many babies as possible. Masturbation and homosexuality were not allowed and was considered an offence to your neighbor, who relied on your children in order to survive.

"decomposers" is a strange word to use. I may be wrong, but I feel that such a term in negative. So, I can not agree with you until you change this word.
