anyway, back to the topic at hand... being gay is not a sin

how can I debate that? 😖

Skeletons out of your closet? Unless you don't watch any movie at all or any TV show, my argument still stands. In fact if you believe the bible to be god's true word then you are a hypocrite as well.

But yeah of course, you never read anything, hear anything, watch anything other than the bible.

I do watch some movies. I dont watch tv at all.

Explain to me how believing the Bible makes me a hypocrite.

I read Christian books, hear anything? What do you mean?

Punker, i respect your decision to not watch television because you probably beleive it is a waste of time, a distraction, and/or full of negative influence.

But there is ALSO positivity that comes out of television, and if you are going to make opinions about an issue you are unfamiliar with (like gay issues for repeated example lol) then its always smarter to KNOW as much information as you can on the matter.

There is nothing wrong with looking to the Bible for answers, but the Bible is ONLY one point of view...a religious one.

For any topic that is extended beyond religion, in order to make the most successful points you can, you have to be able to address certain points knowing ALL the information possible on that sort of subject.

"If a man rapes a girl in the city, you must stone him to death, and the woman as well." Deut. 22:24

"Thou shalt not kill. " Ex 20:13

I used to watch television alot. About 5 to 6 hours a day at times so i think im "educated" enough on the subject to voice an opinion. Plus I used to also be really into movies and movies stars and such. And i've seen alot of movies. Just look up my old "Movie Picks" thread in the Movie Discussion forum and you'll see what I mean besides the amatuer reviews.

There are more unpositive things than unpositive on television.

I dont understand how you can still think I only argue things from a Biblical perspective. This whole discussion between me and Eis hasn't been biblical. Just moral.

And I disagree. I dont need to do a full out study on certain things to know that I dont approve of them. Just like I dont need to kill someone to know its wrong. And how I dont need to smoke to know it causes cancer.

You know because you are TOLD so.

And after years of being told so, then you are afraid to look outside the box....

No, thats not it. Dont sterotype people.

I'm not. Thats a case by case judgement.

Case to case...........I do not group all religious people the same.......I just like the fact that most of my friends are christian and I can't speak my view without them telling me they are worried about me "spiritually".....ya know?

Being gay is a sin..the bible says God wants a man and woman to be lovers not man and man and so forth.

After 63 pages of debate, we finally have the answer. We can close the thread now. 🙄 Thank you for your non-contribution.

He also says he loves all his children. And yet, he seems to show no love for the gays in the Bible. How interesting, don't you think?

But gods children are white christian straight fundamentalist conservatives...you see, its not contradictory 😉

So ?

I'd rather be a "Sinner" who enjoys my life, then a bored mofo who serves a Dictator and Bully that you guys call "God".

Damn, I wish I knew how to quit you

I have no idea how I added to this debate, but I feel I've said all I could say.

Ah the beautiful fallacy of over generalizations. 😛
