I think gay people are created in God's image and likeness and that God loves them as much as He loves any true believer and follower of Christ. However, what God hates is "the homosexual lifestyle." You don't control your thoughts or desires though...well in the least, you do not choose them.

How can something that is unintentional be a sin ?

What?

I never said that God hated gays. Are you seeing things that are not there? Gay people (not their sexual orientation/choice of lifestyle) are created in God's image. I do not mean that gay people are created gay. I am not saying that at all. What I mean is that gay people are not animals but are humans. That is one of the meanings to being created in the image and likeness of God. We are not created in the image and likeness of animals, we are created in the image and likenss of God.

All those pedophile priests with a penchant for little boys should be deemed homosexual by God, and be sent straight to Hell.

Correction: Those Priest are Peadophiles, not ordinary homosexuals. There's a major difference ignorant one.

I don't need a book filled with supernatural beings to tell me what is right or wrong. Another example of biblical nonsense making individuals feel guilt ridden over their natural desires. Prove the existence of your "God," and then i'll except homosexuality as a wrongdoing.

You are actually attesting to what I said about the conscience in the thread entitled, "Prove to me that you have a soul." You say,

Also you are corroborating what I said concerning humans not being animals.

Humans are defined as animals, physically, not emotionally.

Sounds like you're straddling the fence... Back on topic: People are free to choose their sexuality, they've been doing it for centuries. If 2 men want to be lovers than that's their choice... They shouldn't by pesecuted by some religious group, and told they are doomed to hell, for doing what makes them happy. Homosexuality is viewed as so terrible, but when you compare it to the atrocities peformed by the roman catholic church throughout history it's laughable.
