Those characters along with Professor X are played by people so they can't really be auto'd to do things really because it may contradict actual actions they had the character make.
No.Jean and Nix are fine for this rp.It all has to do with knowing your limits.If that is the case Iceman,Emma are also way to strong for the rp.The movie based Jean isn't what phoenix is truly.Right now if I allowed Jean to go full Nix Vulcan could beat her to an inche of her life and even take the force from her since some kept showing me that what if comic.plus the likes ofcable and the sister.forgot their name
How is a "Child of The Universe" in the same rank as Iceman and Emma Frost.
Emma frost can not battle Galactus and cosmic entities, gods.
And with the information i gathered, Vulcan is pretty weak compared to the Phoenix Force.
This knowing your limits thing you mention (which im not sure what it is since it wasn't explain) shouldn't mean you should play a character wrong.
You saying i can play iceman as long as i can't use his ice powers?
And yes i know the phoenix in the movie isn't the true one, that is why i said "which im sure isn't enough"

3. I have learned what Godmoding is, even if your a God yourself you can't even Godmode unless everyone is alright with it. (example of god moding: is what Eh did with Big O's character) Even if playing Phoenix Force, you can be to strong and obliterate everyone without Godmoding.
Unless your definition Godmoding is not using super strong powers, then ill just say what i said before "Not using a premade characters powers, is playing the character wrong"
4. I am not sure what These Classes are and what every mutant is categorized as. But do know comparing Iceman/Emma to Phoenix Force seems to be a Roach to a Building.
I am not saying we should give Jean the boot, I dont have the hosting powers for that. But the RP seems less balanced with the God there.

Well if people decide to pick those characters in a "DC" RP
That was their choice to pick underpowered characters. (well batman is super smart)
Unless Specified in the rules in the RP. Then no one would be questioning anything or should.
A character does not have to be able to beat Gods to be "too" powerful, Etna. Iceman and Emma are two characters that can not defeat some big guys of Marvel (Well, maybe Iceman with some fancy moves), but that is not somewhere you should draw the line of what is powerful and not. The line should be drawn on how they fight planetary level heroes and villains, at which point Emma can defeat anyone not resistant to telepathy with a single thought. Bobby can defeat anyone that can not escape being frozen solid.
