The only Link game I've played is Link: Oracle of Seasons.

I never finished it and I don't know what possessed me to buy it. It was good fun though until I got stuck.

I wanted Oracle of Ages but they were all out.

I don't know why I never got into Zelda like everybody else. Maybe my parent(s) never came across it when choosing games to buy for me when I was too young to really know what I wanted to play. They did get me Mario luckily, my first game ever, so they didn't mess up too bad.

Heh, I never was much for Donkey Kong. But my parents bought an NES for Christmas right before I turned three, so I always played games like Zelda, Mario, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, etc., when I was a little kid.

Yeah, good times... good times

Heh, Zelda was the first big thing I was introduced to, after Mario. My original collection of NES games (that I can remember) included Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt/Hogan's Alley, Super Mario Bros. 2 (the Doki Doki Panic remake), Battletoads, Darkwing Duck, Top Gun, and some game with trucks with guns that had a huge tank with tons of guns at the end that I'd love to be able to remember the name of, because that game rocked.

First Zelda I played was Ocarina of Time, which for a while was the only N64 game I owned, a fact which was not at all a bad thing. Ocarina was all it took to make me a Zelda fan.

I'm still hoping for Link's Awakening to appear on the VC charts. That's the only Zelda game I haven't played, aside from the unofficial CD-i ones.

Who needs Gears of War? Contra is coming to XBL Arcade tonight. 💃

I started playing Link's Awaking before anyother Zelda game. I loved it.

I got into Zelda with OoT, I tried to go back and get into Link to the Past, but i missed the cinematic feel and the action of the 3d games.

That's a shame, because I by and far think that ALttP is the best in the series aside from OoT. I mean, great graphics for the time and decent use of Mode7, plus it's huge. No other game in the series has had as many dungeons as ALttP does.

From the sound of it, TP will pass LttP is size, maybe not dungeon total, but pure size.

if 70 hours really is the estimated length for someone who already knew what they were doing, yeah. I just hope that time isn't spent traversing Hyrule Field. A.K.A., WW syndrome.

Nah, you have Epona from the get go, so I dont think traveling the field will be bad. IGN said it is around 5 times the size of the field in OoT.

as long as they have classical remixes of the dungeon music from Link to the Past... that zelda had the best dungeon music

Dr. Mario XD Some of the best video game music EVER. Period.

Doctor Mario 😱 holy crap was I addicted to that game. And the music is awesome. I love that game so much.

the virtual console's enough reason to buy a wii, do these games come free with the console or do you have to buy them over the net or something?

Why don't you just use emulators. Just s-video your PC to your TV and plug in some controlers and you have any game you want. and you can save at any point makes mega man much gooder.

That also happens to be illegal.

Upstanding citizens who care about their video games' creators buy the real thing.

It has been FOREVER since I played Dr. Mario. That was the only game my mother ever played on the NES, she apparently couldn't understand anything else. ^^;

You have to buy the games through the VC, the price depends on the game. I think NES games are about $5.

Because that's illegal and illegal talk is not allowed on here.

"GOODER" isn't a word. mhm

Well that's good that they have Zelda: Ocarina of Time. When that game first came out, I really wanted to play it. I don't know what happened but I never did. That could have been my gateway into all things Zelda. I really wish I could remember why I never got it. I was young then, so maybe my mom just never got it when I asked.
