I have a question, and since I don't come down into these parts I have no idea if it'll get answered, but here goes: I want a 360 for Christmas this year, and I have little to no idea on which I should get. I've heard that Elite is, well, obviously, elite, but is it necessary? I mean, for a person who is just going to be playing Madden and a few other games, is it really necessary? Would the regular 360 suffice?
Onto live: I read something about X-box live Silver. Is that something different, something special that I should know about? Is there a higher version of live or something? Thanks for your help.

There's XBOX Live Silver and XBOX Live Gold.
Silver is free........Gold you pay for. ($50 a year)
Gold allows you to play online with other people multiplayer style with games that are capable of doing so.
Silver doesn't let you play online with other people. But you do get other minimal online functions. I think you still get to chat online with other people online with Silver.
So yeah.........you sound like you'd be better off just getting the XBOX360 Premium Package.
