You know it's probably true. 😉

It's logical, I'll give you that. However, I was just mentioning it since a good friend of mine told me about it a day or so ago.

Little fun fact. PS3 beat the Wii in sales last month. oh

Does this take into account the fact that the Wii is completely impossible to find right now? Or the fact that PS3s still are not actually selling?

Not quite.

Where did you get that information?

Here is some fun things about sales...

The PS3 may eventualy catch up to the Wii in total sales.

I highly doubt the PS3 outsold the Wii...the PS3 was extremely far behind the Wii and the 360 in sales in October, I can find NO article to support your claim...however, I can find an article that boasts the Wii's selling prowess...

I did find an article that showed the the PS3 sold more consoles during one week in November...I also found many articles about the Wii be sold out so much everywhere that Nintendo cannot keep up with manufacturing...even after boosting units created per month to 1.8 million...up from 1.2 million.

Nah, it did. It beat the Wii in November.

Now those are some "fun" facts.

Nintendo actually made the choice to decrease production to not end up with access product. This might in fact come back to bite them in the butt.

Are we all happy now? 😄

But that is ONLY in Japan...did the console sell that well in the US? The "holiday season" or rather, Christmas as people are afraid to actually come out and say, are a much bigger "thing" in the US. I found that same information but since the statistics cannot translate to the US...or rather, Globally, it isn't the best of statistics to showcase.

I could not find anything for the US or Globally on either console for November.

Decrease production?

There might be a big shortage of systems and part of it IS because of Nintendo, but it very clearly says that production was increased.

If he was, then he should have said that, as all that was stated was "the PS3 beat the Wii in sales".

Going by his above post, it appears he was this "good friend" that told the other guy this piece of information, which isn't that new actually.

Which is why I did a little digging on the Internet. I could not substantiate that claim and I searched everywhere to do that. If anyone can find a global or US number for console sales of the PS3 and Wii, that will put this little debate to sleep.

Because I'm the "close friend" that brought it to his attention.

There is no debate, no one said it was the top in US sales. It was simply a misunderstanding.

Usually, when someone says that they mean globally or even just US sales. If someone means a specific market, they mention that specific market's name or title.
