Fair enough, so I will put it this way.

There was no significant advantage to be gained by waiting before getting a Wii.

On a different note, in Germany, we get the X-Box 360 Pro (60GB) plus a game for 270, while the Wii plus Wii-Sports costs 250...I don't know how it is in other countries, but at least I thought that the Wii's major advantage was the comparatively small price.

yes, and its price has never dropped (some retailers are only just now starting to give a discount), so the normal point of waiting-f ro a betetr deal- has given nothing.

Unlike the 360 which has come down very significantly in price.

And even though the PS3 is stillextremely pricey, it's a better model than it was before. nlike the Wii which... is still just the Wii.

On the other hand this 5 differrent version thing, might not be the best way to do it either.

Not at all- but it would justify waiting.

You know why most people prefer the Wii and 360 over the PS3?

It's because you can DL ripped games from the internet and play it on a modded 360 or Wii, that's why.
Something you can't do on a PS3.
