Let's see you have enough time right now to see either the Sony,Nintendo,or Microsoft convention at youtube and stop telling me how bad things are going to be for me when I'm older I don't care for now and I'm not in college yet so let me appreciate my childhood or my teen years for now got it.

Maybe I simply don't care enough....? Or I have things that I'd rather be doing....?

So what I did not mean that. $50 I know more about games than you because I do know about the SNES ERA The Atari era and the NES era.

You know about them.

I was alive and playing games during them.

So tell me how you can know more about them than I do, then?

I'm betting you don't even know what a Super Famicom is and are running off to wiki that right now.

And no, he never did answer my question about playing games that existed before the PSX/N64 era.

I played a Star War game from the SNES and Mortal Kombat Super Mario for the NES Sonic on the Genises and Zelda 1 and 2 for the NES and a few others I can't remember.

I'm betting with her. I grew up on the NES, and I'd give most games nowadays just to have a working NES and SMB/Duck Hunt again...

I'd be willing to bet too that you have no idea why Atari failed at home consoles, or the unfortunately short history of the excellent Dreamcast.

It's called the SNES in the US and the second console from Nintendo and you live in this time where you don't know if GTA4 was going to be realeased for the 360.

Mortal Combat on the SNES? What did you think of the green blood on the SNES version?

And how about the differences in the battle system between LoZ and AoL? Which do most people prefer, the original or the upgraded version in AoL?

Why Atari failed the games suck and E.T kind of destroyed it Dreamcast had good games but the PS2 beat it because it was more popular.

I tend to only really follow things I like and care about. GTA is more my brother's thing, as I said already. There's not much in games out today that I have much interest in...mostly because most developers care more about making the game shiny than making it good. Which is why now I primarily only follow FF and Zelda.

And yes, I'm alive today, but I also was alive when the NES was brand new. I've been playing games since I could hold a controller.

Ever hear of Dragon Warrior?

Dreamcast failed because they fumbled with the launch games, actually.

That too but more people were intrested in the PS2 then the dreamcast.

MGS takes place 6 years after MG2, within a nuclear weapons disposal facility in Alaska. Genetically engineered soldiers seize the facility and threaten the White House, with their demands being $1 billion and the preserved remains of Big Boss. Solid Snake is sent to rescue two VIP hostage, find out if the terrorists can launch a nuclear weapon, and stop them if they can.

Clearly you don't remember all the hype around the Dreamcast, and how excited everyone was for it.

I repeat: Ever hear of Dragon Warrior?

I thought it was centered more around Soul Calibur.

I ALMOST bought a Dreamcast so I could play Marvel vs. Capcom 2....

Oh and clearly you didn't know how freaking hyped the PS2 and yes it did beat the dreamcast and the dreamcast could not play dvds so japan would buy it because it was the cheapest dvd now answer my question tell me the plot of MGS2.

I never played Metal Gear. Not the sort of game I like.

PS2 came out after the Dreamcast did. A full year later in the US, in fact. The Dreamcast came out a year and a half before the PS2 in Japan. It fumbled initially, not helped by the lack of killer launch games, and was never able to catch up.

Though considering it did record sales at launch, it's quite odd that it lost it's momentum the way it did.

No, Dreamcast bombed because they didn't have anything killer in the way of launch games. That is ALWAYS the make-or-break with systems.

Um...Soul Caliber that game had a 10 in a few mags and websites that was a killer app

A system needs more than one killer game.

People went after the PS2 for the DVD play capabilities and so-called better graphics, though they were hardly better than PSX at the time and Dreamcast WAS better.

It's "oooh shiny" syndrome. Dreamcast by all means should have succeeded.

hm...what question should I give these guys?Oh when was the video games rating created.(the ratings like rated e for everyone or rated m for mature).

Initially the practice of rating games started in 1993, though the system we're familiar with came into being in 1994. The rating of E was introduced in the past 8-9 years (I'm not sure precisely when, just that Mario64 had a K-A rating). Even recently the E rating has been split to E, E10+ and EC.

Though what this has to do with next-gen consoles is beyond me.

*MGS2 SPOILERS*

MGS2 starts off with Snake in NYC, checking on the new Metal Gear RAY built to counter the numerous Metal Gear REXes. RAY is taken onto an oil tanker, which is subsequently attacked by soldiers led by Colonel Gurlukovich. Explosives are planted across the tanker. A unit of marines are instructed on the RAY and its role, after which Ocelot appears, as well as the Colonel, and they and the marines' commander end up in a Mexican standoff. Ocelot breaks it by betraying the Colonel and killing the commander, then detonates the explosives. Liquid Snake's persona takes control of Ocelot through his transplanted arm, and he boards RAY, blasts the tanker in half, and escapes. Ocelot later tells Solidus Snake about the successful mission.

The next part of the game stars Raiden, two years later, in a decom facility, who is sent to rescue the President and other hostages. Raiden finds that the whole facility is an elaborate coverup of a project to creat a mobile fortress, Arsenal Gear. Solidus and Ocelot want to use the facility to destroy the Patriots who stole RAY. There are a ton of double-crosses, and Raiden finds out he was tricked into working for the Patriots to eliminate Solidus. Snake is aboard as well, battling both sides and intending to destroy Arsenal. Ocelot reveals himself to be a double-agent again, and tries to kill his allies. Liquid controls him again, intending to use RAY to destroy the Patriots, and sets Arsenal to collide with NYC. Snake dives out of Arsenal after Liquid. Arsenal comes to rest, the Patriots' intentions are revealed, Solidus wants to use Raiden's implants to discover the Patriots' identities, and finally Raiden eliminates Solidus atop Federal Hall.

For extra credit, after Sept. 11, scenes involving Arsenal displacing the Statue of Liberty and half of Manhattan were taken out of the game.

*SPOILERS END*

GOD, that took a long time to type. Happy now?

And I believe he still thinks he knows more about video games than anyone else, Lana.

Halfevilraiden, how many games have received a perfect score in Famitsu, and what were they?
