Terrible SW quotes

That line Obi Wan told Qui Gon in Ep. 1 after dropping from an exhaust shaft inside the Trade Federation Ship in the beggining.

"You were right about one thing, Master..the negotiations were short."

I think it was intended as a joke. Or at least that's whats it seems Obi Wan tried to pass it off as a with that smirk that followed. Either I didn't get it or it was just plain not a funny joke.

I think Qui Gon was wrong about everyhting else in his previous statements.

Obi1: "I have a bad feeling about this."
Qg: "I don't sense anything?"
....
Qg: "These federation types are cowards and the negotiations will be short"

So Qui Gon failed to "see the future" while he was so focused with his "living force". With his thick head he misjudged the federations intentions as well as the missions nature.

So Obi Was hinting that the only thing his master got right in his ramblings was an accident! He never intended it that way. It's like someone had said in 1935 that "Hitler will make Germany famous around the world!". Indeed he did, but nobody knew how he was going to do it. And "famous" is a bit mild word here...

Anyway. He was subtly mocking Qui Gon...

I see. So his statement was more of a mockery. It wasn't that subtle, though. I don't think. It seemed pretty blatant to me, he even smirk at Qui Gon as if Obi Wan was showing him he delighted in the mocking sort of laughing at his master. Seemed like a disrespect, to me.

Usually padawans are reprimanded by such acts.

Subtley as in, he was obviously trying to make a joke with Qui-gon.

He found it funny that, when the two of them come to talk to the TF about peaceful negotiations, they almost get blown away.

So..."the negotiations WERE short."

If it was intended that OB1 was pointing out Quiggy's flaw, then it WAS subtle, seeing how he hid it behind light and casual humour with a joke that also was based off the fact they (the peaceful Ambassadors) almost got killed.

Any of the poorly dubbed lines in the OT. Theres one in ROTJ when a Death Star captain says "Inform the commander that Lord Vaders shuttle has arrived" (Or something) and it's so ridiculously fake sounding. It was obviously a Brit actor and they made him American to make him sound more butch.

Actually the Vaders line in Episode 6 sucks badly if you listen it carefully.

"Heeeeeeeeeee will come to meeeeeeeeeeeeee?"
"I have foreseen it. His compassion for you will be his undoing."

If the line is coming from a Gungan, it sucks.

"That is so wizard, Ani."

haha

Issa people gonna die?

I don't like Lando choking out ,"....Han.....still time to save Han.....", but it's slightly edged out by the DVD ROTJ's line "Weesa FREE!"

For the prequels, I freaking hate little Anakin in the tuned up podracer saying with muted excitement ,"It's working.....it's working".

how bout when george lucas announced he was making another 3 films that preceed ANH ESB and ROTJ. wasnt technically in the movie but bad none the less

I though Anakin's Ep.III "I hate you." was not a profound enough line even given the circumstances. I mean, it was after all already obvious that he did Hate Obi Wan. Something else sinister or revealing should've been said. Nothing to long, but impactful.

I wish people would finally except the PT films for what they are: good films. Are they the OT? No. But they are darn good films, and if you don't like them, then either keep your O-OT and dont except change or get out of your mother's basement and move on with your life.

As for the worst Star Wars quote: "Are you an angel?"

Unfortunatley for you, this is your opinion. I see the PT has decent films, not "darn good." They're OK movies with many flaws.

In my opinion, not only is this the worst line in the Star Wars movies, it's also the worst line in the history of cinema.

8th worst to me. I think it portrayed Luke's innocently naive persona quite well.

"Please the war is over...Lord Sidious promised up peace" Viceroy Gunray ROTS. Was anyone else happy when you finally saw him die. I almost cried it was such a joyful moment.

When Nute Gunray died I had the same expression on my face as Admiral Ackbar when Vaders star destroyer crashed headlong into the death star.

Yeah, my brother and I both stood up and cheered when Anakin offed that guy. Now if only he had saber-skewered Jar Jar as well...

There should be a fanfilm made, culminating in Jar Jar's death.
