His silence only annoyed her more. Maureen turned swiftly, striking him across his face and leaving a slowly growing black eye. "Listen," she said her voice laced with hatred. Mo often had spoke this way, and she sounded quite powerful. "I have done nothing to deserve this" she continued, repeating herself, "You have no right to stalk me and treat me as a convict. You will never understand why I have resorted to such a life!"
(heh sorry bout eariler.. rough night 😮)
Mo jumped at Raly's sudden appearance. "Raly!" she said finding her voice again. "You want to know what's going on?! He," she said visciously pointing at Oyoka, "has accused me with stealing from you, and then to top that, threatened me in the process. I thought I could escape such things here...I guess I thought wrong." Maureen finished off her act with a glare shot at Oyoka.
Raly looked at both of them as though he was disappointed. "Oyoka, you know how I do things round here... I'm not the type to bother over people's pasts, even if they've done wrong." Raly said looking from Oyoka to Maureen. "Leave miss Mo be... if she chooses to steal from me, she can go ahead and steal. If her conscience let's her live with it, she can have whatever small bits of valuable material I have." Raly said seriously before he turned and walked out of the barn.
Maureen watched as Raly walked away, leaving her alone once again. She started to ponder over everything he had just said to her. He didn't care about her dark past, but that is also her future. He didn't care if she stole from him, but she had been wrongly accused and has taken nothing from him. He wouldn't turn her in, but she didn't trust him enough to take that too seriously, her trust in others was rare. He wouldn't defend her if she was caught... she wouldn't get caught.
Nobody seemed to understand why she was a thief, or how she came to be one. But why would they care? she asked herself. They wouldn't, they only judge on what they see.
She looked up at the darkening sky. In one quick motion Maureen spread her black wings and flew. It was a small struggle with her injury, but she managed. Mo would be back, though, soon enough.
Raly heard the strong wings carrying Maureen away and sighed. "I'm sorry... sometimes honesty can hurt." Raly said quietly as he walked back to the house. "Where did that boy get to?" Raly asked himself as he looked around to find Jay.
Jay was walking through the streets of the town. The moon showing him the way through the dark alleys. "I think I might be lost." Jay said to himself as he walked.
Mo soared through the darkness, avoiding all light that she could. She never liked flying in the day time if she didn't have to, it caused too much staring. The moon was all the light she needed.
She looked down at the ground far below her, then saw a familiar face. Jay. Mo shook her head, what has he doing in this part of town? She swooped down, landing lightly behind him. "How's it goin', Jay?"

Mo thought about this for a moment, she could gain Raly's trust by helping him. But what did she care if Raly trusted her? Maureen would have to think this through later, Jay was waiting. "Alright... Come on, it's this way." And with that Mo turned on her heal, and started to walk the other direction, she knew these allys like the back of her hand.

"No problem" she said navigating her way around. "Now what where you doing out here anyway, it's not exactly the safest place to be at night," continued Mo. She looked around a corner, seeing a group of men around a small fire, then turned the other direction. She was going to avoid everyone around here completely if she could.

I would have gotten the beating of a lifetime if Axel hadn't come along to help... I imagine he's teaching them a pretty intense lesson." Jay said carefully stepping in every foot print left by Maureen. Jay liked Maureen, she reminded him somewhat of his mother. "What were you doing out here miss Mo? Was the bed we made not soft enough?" Jay asked innocently.
