Depends who you ask. He can lift over 100 tons, so if you take the class system literally, then he'd be class 100.

I reserve the term Class 100 for true top tiers (Supes, Hulk etc.), and in relation to that, i rank Aquaman around class 70.

I'm not saying it was cracking Hal's full shield. Regardless, that scene's obviously intended to show that Aquaman withstands immense pressures in the depths. And there are places where the pressure can get too much for many of the oceans heroes, and even Aquaman himself can have trouble adjusting.

Infinite Crisis
Aquaman didn't play a big part in Infinite Crisis, (in the main book anyway) but the Society deemed him a big enough threat to try and take him out early. They sent a group of Aquaman's rogues to attack Sub Diego and cause enough havoc to keep him too busy to interfere.

Next update will be very emotional. Aquaman suffered more losses than almost anyone during Infinite Crisis, and it really spotlighted how much of a hero he truly is.

Infinite Crisis hit Aquaman hard.
Atlantis is one of the magic centres of the DCU, so it was inevitable that Spectre would attack. There were casualties. Not only did Aquaman lose countless friends and followers, he also lost those closest to him.
Vulko, his most trusted advisor and one of his oldest friends.
They didn't always get along, but with Koryak, Aquaman lost a son for the second time.
And though he couldn't find a body, all signs pointed to his greatest friend, brother, ally, sidekick and adopted son being another casualty. Garth, Aqualad, Tempest.
This is enough to cause anyone to just give up. Go away for a long time. Retreat into solitude and deal with the pain. But the survivors need Aquaman, Sub Diego needs Aquaman, and Lorena needs Aquaman. So Aquaman remembers, and then gets back to doing what he does best.

Of course, seeing as Vulko's returned already (albeit, still dead), Tempest will be seen in Aquaman #51, and apparently Koryak will be back in some form or another, the impact is kind of lessened. But still a great Aquaman issue.

All his interviews confuse me. He answers all the questions as if he's talking about Orin/Arthur, but AJ being on the cover to "Countdown" kinda implies he's still gonna be around for awhile.

Ah well, Busiek's initial arc was very good, but the last two have been blah. Looking forward to Tad breathing some new life into the title, and his take on the character. Don't wanna see this title canceled anytime soon.
