They are bad but are they badder than the hand?
Very good question. However it is somewhat amorphous since The Hand at times seems nigh omnipotent (even having power of life and death), yet at other times (many times) they are depicted as jobbers for Elektra and/or DareDevil (or even Wolvie whenever they want to show what a bad@$$ he is).
The League of Assassins is also quite interesting. For one are you assuming the entire league? Membership can be in quite a significant state of flux. For example past members have included Bronze Tiger (who was a member) and Richard Dragon (who trained many of the members).
Also the members can vary a lot in ability (they are all deadly, but to quote Animal Farm some are deadlier than others). For example Shrike is a member, and he is quite lethal (plus he employs his own little army of Ninjas, who for the most part are like the Hand in that they are usually only present to job for Batman, NightWing, Robin ...add you fave bat character here). Shrike is pretty bad@$$, and he wiped the floor with Tim Drake, and even made NightWing leave a pound of flesh (and gallons of blood). However Batgirl (cassandra) beat Shrike without breaking a sweat (even grabbing his shaken from the air and throwing them back at him). Shrike was perfect against Robin, and excellent against NightWing, but he might as well been sleeping against Cass.
Thus Shrike is an example of a LOA.
On the other hand Shiva Woosan is a member of the League. Considered the best in the league (at least for direct violence). Shrike is more than enough to handle Robin and Nightwing, but Shrike is leagues below Shiva.
Thus you have 2 members who are worlds apart.
And just like Shrike (with his ninja soldiers), Lady Shiva also has her own dogs of war. In the Richard Dragon series she had 6 assassins (also full members of the LOA): Hwa Rang (a giant TaeKownDo freak), Tengu (some shadowy ninja dude), Kitty Kumbata (some Muay Thai chick with a warped mind), Joey N'Bobo (some Capoeira freak from Angola who used to lead a deathsquad), Iron Aaron Abromowitz (an ex-Mossad agent from Israel whose specialty is Krav Maga), and Wam-Wam (a monkey gungfu exponent).
Then you have LOA members who are not even fully human. For example Whisper A'Daire and the Demon's Hound Kyle Abbott. Both are partial shapeshifters ....one snake the other wolf. These LOAs serve Rhas Al Ghul directly.
And then there are the folks with more exotic powers. For example Tzin-Tzin, master of hypnosis.
There is even Merlyn (might have spelt that wrong). Last I checked he was in the LOA, and Ollie said he was a better bowman than Roy Harper and Connor Hawke in the Identity Crisis thingimajig.
Conclusion: Anyways, back to the initial question. Can DD defeat the League of Assassins?
Well, DD can beat many of the people listed. However there are some that DD would have to use some effort to defeat, and others that would defeat him (primarily Shiva, and if we are including Dragon him too. But sticking to current, ACTIVE, members Shiva would definitely be more than a match for DD).
And then you have the whole picture. The ENTIRE League of Assassins, with people like Shiva in it, versus DareDevil all by himself.
DareDevil loses. Shiva might not even have to fight.
