Yeah those are E2 images.

I have no guesses on who the villain is. Didio said Darkseid would play no role in the Crisis.

It's obvious that they are E2 images..but out of all things going on...why show batmans death in particular? I find it strange.

In the JLA comics, MM said a small player will become the big threat, and he gave the hint towards 2 people, the Key and Supergirl.

I have a feeling the amped up villain is Darkseid probably renewed and powered up by the Source.

What makes you say that ? Its funny how none of the New / Old gods have had had any role in the entire build up ? I'd thought Spectre would have gone after Zeus and Highfather after beating the other magical members of the Quintessence ? When was the last time Darksied showed up in any comic ? I think he had a cameo b4 the Gog wars ? Im starting to think it was Cyborg Supes, who 'nuked' the staition. MM did refer to him as a 'suprising threat' in JLA, and IMO he's a real dark horse. The DNA thing is a real give away. Don't forget the DNA test in the Return of Superman. It would be great to see Draksied returned to his 'kicking Anti Monitor's ass' levels again. Psycho Pirates return may also indicate the return of the Anti Monitor, but that would be repetative to say the least. For a min i thought it may be Krona, but he's probably making his 'big return' in that cosmic egg thing that Whirly was on about.

The DNA thing has me convinced that it's now either Cyborg or Supergirl..all they showed was a piece of the red cape and a superman symbol. As in my post above, MM is starting to give hints now.

But in JLA #121, Raven came to Dawn in the astral plane and said "the being he(Manhunter) told you about has power beyond comprehension. But HE is unready, untrained." "Beware HIM......"

That lets us know that this person may be the one who abducts her in JLA#122. It leaves out Supergirl for sure.

I hope they dont kill batman...I mean why mess with a Trinity member....I dunno I like the idea of a big 7 member dying just not one of the main three....dammit i wish i had the money to buy all this stuff....until then ima go beg long pig to send me them all through pm if he gets them....

I think that has to do with the fact that E2 Bruce died a long time and that Supes II will be offering our Batman the chance at his life. This is judging from the cover and solicit from issue 3.

It will definitely be interesting to see what that foreshadows. Do you still have that schedule of when the issues come out?

As soon as Supergirl showed up, MM gave a message to Dawn) that the dangerous person was nearby. It also happened to be that the Key was nearby.

*Edit* Jrod..looking at that prior issue, you are right. Maybe he did just mean the Key.
Still, does it sound inplausible that Supergirl or Borg destroyed the fortress?

Yup.

#3 on 12/15/05
#4 on 01/11/05
#5 on 02/15/05

March starts the One Year Later stuff so I'm sure things will get real interesting real soon.

Borg has pr-oven that he can definitely replicate Superman s DNA. Was there a reference to the DNA by the watch tower computer, before the person in question arrived? If so i thinks its a real hint in the direction of Borg. All information concerning the Return of Superman, always makes a big deal about Henshaw copying Supes DNA. In knowledge of this i think it highly unlikely to be Super girl. I doubt the most sophisticated tech in all the universe would be unable to tell the difference between Superman and his FEMALE cousin. (Y chromosome hint, hint ! 🙄). Is the key the guy who was used by Neron after the Asmodel incident ? I'll be disappointed if he's the 'main' bad guy ? Borg and the Key would be good for your above average JLA incident, but for something this big they seem a bit of a 'anti climax' 🙁. I'd be much happier, with a Imperiex, Darksied or even the return of the Anti Monitor. Oh well you can't have everything. 🙁

All the monitor shows is the Superman insignia, which both Supergirl and Superman use. Still Jrod was right, MM did say "He" in another issue. Reading the whole issue again, BORG is the likely suspect...especially since he hasn't been seen.

Here is a scan of that final page.

I just thought of something. Maybe it was E-2 Superman saving MM from the Watchtower exploding. I know that the issue came out before E-2 Superman broke out of the barrier in IC #1. But AOS #645 came out after IC #1 also but the end of AOS #645 says to be continued in IC #1.

You guys follow what I am saying.

The thing is that MM seemed like he knew who he was.
Did MM know about the crisis and the prior supes?

Not exactly. People remember a cosmic Crisis but the Infinite Earths part of the story was forgotten.

That is the tricky part.

can someone tell me who Borg is? Pic or something.

I'm so certain its Borg !!!!!!!!!!! 😄 Heat vision is rarely used over such a large Target are as the Watch Tower (except that one time, it was used to heat the entire earth). Hen shaw is always using that massive gun thing of his. That would be well capable of causing the damage, inflicted upon the Tower. I don't think he's the 'main villan' though, he's more than likely to be an Avatar for someone. I haven't read the first crisis, but wasn't Psycho pirate an Avatar for Anti Monitor ? Another reason i don't think he is the main culprit, is due to his power level. Although he is more powerful than Post Crisis Supes, Superman has been able to nearly kill him on a few occasions. If Earth 1 superman is anywhere near as powerful as he once was, this Crisis will be over more quickly than a Brian Bendis action sequence.

Certainly. Cyborg Superman, if it was him, is probably just the flunkie.
