Taking a shit load of pills voluntarily doesn't seem accidental to me. Something else killed him. Both the sleeping meds and the benzodiazipnes modulate the same receptors in the body. Those receptors become saturated after a while and once they are saturated to the max, you don't get very much effect...your body just pisses it out. He was taking those drugs for quite some time. It is HARD AS HELL to OD on benzodiazepines...especially if you've been taking it by the hand fulls for days like he was.
I had my own theory that he took a down regulator to free up all of those cell site receptors so he could "feel" the drugs like it was his first time. Seriously, druggies do that when they are pill poppers...if they are smart and have money.

Dude, the Joker was top notch...unbelievable performance. The commissioner was played VERY nicely and he made you believe you were right there, begging for your own children's lives as Two-Face played Russian roulette wit the coin...etc.
Dude, two face was had some EXCELLENT acting...for serious.

I see what you're saying, I think that is a logical idea, given the Joker's way of thinking. I still say she is dead though, given that it fits into the story.
