One needs to be big enough to hold a joint, and the other needs to be able to cover up with your thumb. First, cover the hole with your thumb and inhale. You have to be careful of the plastic though, those are only good for one night, 'cause then the chemicals in the plastic start burning, etc, not good for you at all

There isn't meant to be water in the bottle when you do it. That is only for the posh bongs 😛. If there was water in there, it would run out of the holes.
