Zidane, Baggio and Platini are some of the best players to have ever played the game. John Charles is mostly remembered for never being sent off, being an impressive figure in Italian football at the time because of his height and being a utility player.

You're actually proving you know shit about football because Cruyff was known for being able to play most roles on the midfield or as an attacker. He was never even considered a midfielder, but an attacker.

Your point? Marek Jankulovski can play as a right back, centre back, right midfielder, defensive midfielder, right wing back, offensive midfielder and striker. He's probably the most versatile player in the world right now, yet he's not considered to being even near the best player in the world.
