Hard house is awesome up untill a year or 2 ago. It's a pretty old genre as far as electronic music genres go. Unforetunately it's past its yay days, and producers are running out of ideas. If you're going to look in to it, listen to Paul Glazby, Tony De Vit, Andy Farley, Ben Stevens, Captain Tinrib, BK, and a few others that I cant htink of at the moment. In terms of labels, Tidy and Vicious Circle are my favs, and most records that get pressed on those two labels are usually really good productions.
Richard Humpty does a lot of So. Cal's Hard House.

I'm not sure about metal, as I dont know enough of it, but ther are distinct, and very noticeable differnces between House, Fidgit House, and Electro House.

Yeah, it pains me to be labeled something I'm not. As a musician. I play guitar. Period. I often get asked if I specialize in Screamo, Avent-Garde or even Red Metal, WTF?!
Originally posted by ScytheAh, yeah, one of my friends listens to some of that. I'm not that huge a fan of modern hardcore music though, one of the few I don't really enjoy. I can see the appeal though, like a sendback to hardcore punk and whatnot.
Nintencore is like hardcore/emo, but with nintendo 8-bit samples.
