Just the placement, it kind of replaces classes for the summer. I got two weeks at Working Title Films (so ****ing psyched) and another four weeks at an independent film company, but they said that if Working Title want me to continue with them, I shouldn't hesitate to to let them know and just continue at Working Title instead. That sounds awesome, though – how long have you been doing the class? It sounds interesting. I love writing – my big passion, really. I'd love to approach writing for children at some point! Some people seem to believe that it's easy compared to other forms of fiction writing, but that's bullshit, if anything it's way more complex to approach than other forms of writing – you have to really be understanding about what you're writing, I guess. Either way, it sounds really cool!
This course is through SMARTmajority. I started it a few weeks ago but was slow to really throw myself into it. So far I really like it. I've never had formal training when it comes to writing so the structure is certainly new to me.
I agree with you.. I don't think writing for children is easier. It's just different. You really have to understand what they are into depending on the age group and such.

I do a little personal training, volunteer through the VA for various projects. Garden....

That sounds awesome. Writing is a brilliant hobby to have – not only can it quickly become a career or job, but also you can do it in any way you want; small bursts, long days of constant work, etc. And tbh I don't think you need formal training if you enjoy it! It all sounds really cool.
