I guess, in the sense that it was sort of the first of its kind. There's probably going to be people saying Nickelback's How You Remind Me was pretty good songwriting in 30 years though.

Sure, maybe you'd be able to do that. But 30 years from now, everyone who hates Nickelback will have moved on to hating the newest en vogue thing to hate. While true Nickelback fans will have raised their kids on Nickelback music, oldies stations will have embraced their biggest hits just like they'll embrace Clocks or Sex on Fire. That's how it happens.
