Different situation, man – you're an adult now, with lots of important things to do, and srs business to attend to. You work literally all week, so you have to make sure your days off count. I'm in uni, so when I get free time, I have the liberty to piss it away.

Brev, for the past 4 weeks I've been giving myself half the day off on Friday to get a head start on all the crap I have to do during the weekend that I can't get done at work because I'll be distracted by some other shit. I haven't had a weekend to make count since the beginning of January.

That's probably why I've been craving crack. mhmm

If I ever end up in a job like that, I'd give it three years and then kill myself, I reckon. Props to anyone who can deal with that as a career.

I think you'll find that it's most people that have that kind of career. It's just the specific tasks that differ.

It's alright, I guess. Did manage to sneak in a concert last Wednesday.

This is what I mean. It sounds like an actual representation of Hell to me. Maybe if the field of work was something I was really, really interested in, I could do it, but if the end result was just "the company is doing good", I'd easily choose death over that kind of a career.

Would you rather a different job

No, that's why I haven't gone to university and generally don't do anything day-to-day to establish a multi-media portfolio that could allow me to work in a wide range of artistic pastures. awehuhs

Although I always appreciate some good condescension, the result is of course always more than just ''the company is doing good''. I'm gaining the necessary experience working with and leading people should I decide to start my own business some day. I'm also gaining some insight on the inner workings of a huge multinational company, which is quite interesting. And I'm ensuring myself of a hefty bonus, which I will use for my trip to SE Asia.

Also, if I do my job well, so will my team and they'll also receive a slightly less hefty bonus.

I'm generally trying to stay away from sarcastic irony these days, but sometimes it's the only option

Also, I don't have to work during the weekends. I could just tell my team-members to **** off during the week so I can get all my shit done and have a nice weekend. But I'm not that kind of guy, I'm an owner.

Like I said, I respect anybody who can find a plus-side to a job like that. To me, it would just be "the company is doing good" because I don't care about how multinational companies work, and I don't think I ever will (again, unless it relates specifically to something I'm interested in, e.g. admin work for Universal), so it's impressive that you can get down to the job and get something out of it.

Are you thinking about starting your own company at some point?

Well, I meant 'owner' more in the sense of someone who 'owns' their tasks, takes full responsibility for them and tries to execute them to perfection etc. It's one of those phrases they love using in large faceless businesses that have lots of employees, especially lower down the ladder.

I would be interested in starting a consultancy firm though. Turn that Big 4 into a Big 5. Can't decide on the name though, it's going to be either Consultio or Consultius.

Yeah, I got that, it was just a general question though. I could probably see you running a company or something.

'Cause if yo' already ownin' it, yo' may as well own it, you get me?

Yeah, I wouldn't know what kind of company though. I'd have to stumble onto a gap in the market or something. I don't have the necessary credentials to be a convincing management consultant.

Man I haven't had a cheese and pickle sandwich in ages!

If you start a company could you give us a job

I'll take that as a certainly Walshy you sexy man beast
