Americans think the UK is like one big Hogworts, wizards flying around, strange beasts wandering the countryside, millions of dark alleys with shady people doing nefarious things...

He does love Harry Potter

He's still salty he didn't get his letter, I tried to tell him that muggles don't get letters.

I'm not fooling myself into thinking the following clip has any assurance of staying on YouTube, but, while it does, it's a remarkable snapshot of history.
Also the kind of distortion that can come from 3rd parties, especially media.
A young man deprived of vision, trying to ward off one of the most feared heavyweight punchers of the world with pole-arm defense until his eyes can clear, becomes a "boy" "clowning" and joking around, "not taking things seriously", when, in reality, he's fighting for his professional life ...

Sonny Liston v Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) I, 1964.

(Noteworthy: Joe Louis as co-commentator!)

Ali was no joke, of course when you announce you're the Greatest you better bring the goods.

918, and, if I'm thinking of the word "synchronicity" correctly this moment,
which I'm probably not, I should probably try to find that power of suggestion video I'd posted years ago ...

While searching for the video alluded to above, which I tried to do by recalling and/or searching for the thread it might have been featured in, I stumbled upon some hits that weren't what I was looking for, but have interest and/or utility all on their own.

I'll forget them if I don't post about them in SOME fashion, so ...

"Weakest magic user that can beat Superman?"

1. Got two answers praised by original poster and participants.
2. Proved the potential value of research, even when the topic deals with fiction.
For instance, one poster, frustrated by the argumentative nature of threads, made the claim that he could list 50 answers. Could he? Maybe. Maybe not.
Search the thread and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Other posters mocked him. From my memory and knowledge at that time, I could not even manage 30. Then I researched. And found over 100 answers could be produced just from looking at ONE company from the 2, arguably more, who are thought of as the biggest producers of what we were looking for (ie DC and Marvel).
