I'm not sure this is quite the approach most of the Christian denominations take. Usually folks do indeed suggest Jesus' life 'fulfilled' what is thus rendered the 'prophetic purpose' of the Jewish people and its history but they might differ on how he fulfills it and what this means for specific items, like the law code of Leviticus. It is worth pointing out that the Leviticus code was never followed by the people of Israel, its a composition of the post-Babylon experience which serves to ground and explain that experience by situating it in a wider theological national understanding... arguably.
