Nope I need a clear path from beginning to next level, main quests only and a single class.

Old school huh? 🤣

I grew up on D&D, Gamma World, Top Secret, and Star Frontiers that's what makes sense to me.

Well I don't mind SciFi/fantasy games. I do agree that missions should be earned rather than just stumbled upon. I'm thinking back to Super Mario Bros , how you would have secret levels and hidden levels. Secret passageways that would lead you too a new adventure. I am not for reading unless it's meant to give a clue.

In the pre-internet era of video games we had to discover all that stuff for ourselves and if you were friends with an Ace you were set the rest of the time.

Well Tetris was straight to the point and fun 😊

That got boring after a while.

How about space invaders?

That was such an anxiety inducing game, panic affected my ability to shoot.

More like addictive. I'd wager I'd beat you at it.

Now? Of course, my hand/eye coordination is for shit, my reflexes are duller than a blunt knife, age has taken my gaming god gifts and left me nothing but experience in return.

So you just stare at the tv like a slob?

That's what you got from that? Wow. No I play games but I don't play them optimally or competitively I just try to have fun.
