It's not that they add it directly. I sure some companies add preservatives, but I was referring too third party ways in which plastic enters the food we eat because plastic is just to easily spread.

For example, Taco Bell defrost some of its sauces in boiling water and boiling any plastic with food will only cause it to mix in with the plastic

A lot of people do. Fast food in general has become disgusting. Did you know Mc Donald's fries use 12 different oils to make that soft flavor? And Mc Donald's ketup can also be used to clean coins.

Would you rather go on not knowing what is in fast food?

I think the Don is going to solve that problem by making fast food more expensive so people will just make homemade dinner and that will be just fine for RFK and his hate boner for fast food.
