I was thinking it was because of the blood & gore. Marvel wouldn't/couldn't show previews with all the blood, so they dulled it out so it was less violent.

Just a side note but Ulitmate Wolverine adamantium bonding is done differently then 616's. Heck when he fought Ultimate Lady Deathstrike it was reviled that not all of his skeleton was even bonded.

But that is one of the greatest comic images ever... makes me laugh
