Your not showing a lot of imagination at all. How can you show everything about Qui-Gon and little Anakin in RotS? Answer; you dont. You create a new story that fits better with the whole saga.

And as you should know XYZ, GL didnt have a real story of how the Clone Wars went; he only had a general idea. What does Maul have do to do with the story of Anakin Skywalker? not alot.

I dont want the PT to be re-made, if possibly I'd want them to have never have been made in the first place, but thats just wishful thinking.

I seriously don't understand your huge problem with AotC. In all fairness it was much better than TPM. It was far better than TPM.
And no lightsaber fighting? There was more in AotC probably, than in the whole OT! That's because lightsaber fights do not make movies.

You can't summarise episodes 1 and 2, because Qui-Gon introduced Anakin to the force and the council and Obi-Wan can't just say "oh it was my master who introduced him, and he would of trained him but he died by Darth Maul killing him." and HOW THE HELL CAN YOU SUMMARISE CLONE TROOPERS AND PALPATINE BEING CHANCELLOR? They're too major. GL already had ideas about eps 1, 2 and 3 before he even thought about ep 4 that's why it' episode 4. So stop saying that. If what you're saying is true then why isn't ROTS ep 0 ANH ep1 ESB ep 2 and ROTJ ep 3? OH yeah, it would look stupid and isn't what GL wants. AOTC is like how ROTS started and TPM is how SW started okay so shut the hell up.

AOTC was rushed. You're not much of a fan if you keep saying it's really good. Real fans can see bad things in films and don't just say it's brilliant. You need to realise how it was rushed and actually listen to what peple have to say okay?

Now I hope you three read this post because it's one of the longest I've made and I won't take any notice if you continue to cause trouble on this here thread. AOTC needs a do-over because it's bad and not the SW we all love. No action, no comedy, hardly any lightsaber action. Darth Tyranus never shut the hell up! He was only good for a five minutes and that was it. So I think you should all take complete and full notice on this. I'm not trying to change your minds, I'm just proving a point. The end.

AOTC will NOT be re-done. Eps 10, 11 and 12 will be finished before they ever "re-do" ep 2. Of course Lucas will tweak it in the coming years, it was tweaked before it came to the Imax theaters even before it came to home video. To actually want it re-done is laughable I'm afraid. Forget it.

I've re-read pert-near every post looking for reasons why it seems rushed to some here. All I can offer is a big fat so what? Just because it "seems" rushed doesn't mean it is. I would completely disagree with any thoughts that it is "rushed". For one thing it's a comment that really hardly says anything. For another, they had 3 years to make it. That's a lot of quality time in it. There is great care taken in AOTC. Sure there are some clumsy spots, but there's not a film that's been made that could not have been made better with more money and more time, and unless you want the films released every 5 years, you simply do your best. Lucas thought and took his time in it. Thirdly, there's Lucas' tried and true actor's direction, "Faster, more intense," which the OT actors loved to rib Lucas about... it is supposed to be rushed. It is supposed to have a fast tone in parts, and it does. In TPM, they say "We haven't much time" at least twice! Lucas is always trying to speed things up.

AOTC is about two major plot points: Anakin & Padme falling in love, and the beginning of the end of the republic. It's an odd duality, by causing A & P to fall in love, it dooms the republic but later rescued with their children. I loved watching Palpatine weave his legacy of destruction and discovering the truth on how he came to power. Great political machination stuff because there's not too much of it.

As usual, I agree with you, and your prequel apologist ways.

It's kind of absurd for people who know very little about the business of making movies to ***** about how rushed they feel a film is. In fact, teh argument is absurd, due to thhe inherent fact that AOTC has some of the best production values of any film ever created.

My philosophy(which is quite Taoist) is to sit back, enjoy the whole story, and stop getting caught up in the technicality of it all. If you don't like it, ignore it, or suck it up, but stop complaining about it.

This is why I get a little upset when people make topics like "Why didn't Dooku and Maul Explode when they died?" They didn't explode because they weren't supposed to. That is the greatest explanation that any viewer is entitled to.
